A pre-emptive attack is when you attack an enemy on the field with your weapon to initiate an actual battle. You’ll know you’ve done this when damage numbers pop up on your screen. You will unlock this upon doing this a total of 30 times, which will highly likely unlock naturally, as you will always be trying to do this. This trophy/achievement is not present in the Definitive Edition of the game.
