Tactical Rifles are weapons that have high damage output at the cost of low fire-rates. With the Tactical Rifles, you need to be accurate and efficient with your shots. Using these weapons at mid- to long-range can be incredibly effective and powerful in Warzone.

1) CARV.2¶

A burst-fire weapon that is excellent at long- to medium-ranges, the CARV.2 has strong damage range and bullet velocity, meaning it is a viable option for fighting at distance. The weapon has a low and intuitive recoil pattern that can easily be managed, making the CARV.2 a great option for Warzone.

How to Unlock¶

You need to rapidly kill 2 or more players using a tactical rifle in ten different matches. The easiest way to do this is in Plunder.

Best Attachments¶

1. Muzzle - Agency Silencer – This will reduce vertical and horizontal recoil, allowing you to hit your opponents at further distances. The Agency Silencer also increases damage range, bullet velocity, and gives you suppression, keeping you off enemy radars when firing. A must-have for the CARV.2.

2. Barrel – 20.8“ Strike Team – This barrel also increases damage range and bullet velocity further, meaning you can use this weapon effectively at long-ranges.

3. Optic - Axial Arms 3x - This optic will allow you to use the damage range and bullet velocity to its maximum effectiveness, at range. The optic is a great and safe option for most Assault and Tactical Rifles in Warzone.

4. Underbarrel - Field Agent Foregrip - This Underbarrel helps you deal with the vertical and horizontal recoil of the weapon, at the expense of movement speed.

5. Ammunition - 45 Rnd Drum - This will allow you to fight multiple players at once and not affect your ADS as significantly as the other magazines will. This is important for an already heavy weapon.

2) M16¶

The M16 is a burst rifle that fires rounds of three bullets at once. It is a great option for fighting at distance and offers a fun and different way to play in Warzone.

How to Unlock¶

The M16 can be unlocked by reaching Level 10 in Warzone.

Best Attachments¶

1. Muzzle - Agency Silencer - Reducing horizontal and vertical recoil, increasing bullet velocity and damage range, the Agency Silencer is essential in order to use the M16 in the most effective way.

2. Barrel - 15.9“ Strike Team - This will increase the weapon’s fire rate, meaning more bullets can be fired at once. The other attachments help to control the erratic recoil that this attachment adds, but the trade-off is certainly worth it.

3. Optic - Axial Arms 3x - Like the CARV.2, the M16 is great at mid- to long-ranges, and so the Axial Arms 3x will allow you to track and fire upon your enemies accurately.

4. Underbarrel - Field Agent Foregrip - Further accuracy is achieved with this underbarrel, as horizontal and vertical recoil is easier to control. This is needed when every shot counts with a burst rifle.

5. Ammunition - 45 Rnd - A 45 round magazine will allow you to fight several opponents at once, whilst also ensuring the M16 is a mobile weapon.

3) Cold War (CW) AUG¶

A semi-automatic Tactical Rifle, the AUG fires in bursts of three bullets, allowing the weapon to be extremely effective if you can land your shots. The weapon is mobile, and powerful, and a lot of fun to use.

How to Unlock¶

The AUG will be unlocked when you reach level 28 in Warzone.

Best Attachments¶

1. Muzzle - Agency Silencer - Similarly to the CARV.2 and the M16, this muzzle will increase your bullet velocity and effective damage range. Reducing vertical and horizontal recoil is crucial to help the accuracy of this weapon.

2. Barrel - 18“ Rapid Fire - This increases the fire rate of the weapon, allowing you to use the AUG quicker and fire more bullets at your opponents. The damage range of the weapon is not affected with this attachment, making the AUG a viable, and strong, option for mid- and long-ranges.

3. Optic - Axial Arms 3x - This optic allows you to fight at several different distances effectively, the ADS speed is not drastically affected – the most reliable optic for the AUG.

4. Underbarrel - Field Agent Foregrip - Vertical and horizontal recoil is further controlled with this underbarrel, making the AUG a reliable option at distance.

5. Ammunition - 45 Rnd Drum - This will allow you to fight several players, and occasionally several teams, with one magazine.

4) DMR 14¶

The DMR 14 has high damage, damage-range, and manageable recoil. Ensuring you hit your targets is fundamental to this weapon as the single-burst will mean each shot counts. This can take some getting used to, but the reward is worth the effort.

How to Unlock¶

The DMR 14 is unlocked at Level 49. Don’t worry, it will be worth it.

Best Attachments¶

1. Muzzle - Agency Silencer - Increasing bullet velocity, effective damage range, and increasing the accuracy of the weapon by reducing horizontal and vertical recoil, the Agency Silencer is essential. The silencer also removes you from enemy radars when you are firing, as well as offering sound suppression.

2. Barrel – 16.3“ Titanium - This increases the fire-rate of the weapon, meaning you can fire more rounds at your opponents more quickly. The barrel does reduce damage range, but this has been dramatically increased by the muzzle.

3. Optic – Axial Arms 3x - This will allow you to track and fire upon enemies at ranges, maximising the use of the DMR 14.

4. Underbarrel – Field Agent Foregrip - The erratic recoil of the weapon is controlled more easily with this attachment, both vertical and horizontal.

5. Ammunition – 30 Rnd – The largest magazine for the DMR 14, and a must-have as the single-burst weapon relies on you hitting your targets as much as possible.

5) Type 63¶

A semi-automatic Tactical Rifle, the low-fire rate of the Type 63 will allow you to inflict severe damage on opponents if you can hit your targets. The recoil pattern is erratic, and the damage range is not as strong as the other Tactical Rifles in this list.

How to Unlock¶

You need to reach Level 4 to unlock the Type 63 – easy.

Best Attachments¶

1. Muzzle – GRU Silencer - This increases damage range for the Type 63, keeping you off of enemy radars, as well as offering sound suppression. Bullet velocity is not reduced, and so hitting your targets at range is made easier with this attachment.

2. Barrel - 16.4 Titanium - This barrel increases both bullet velocity and fire-rate, allowing you to fire more bullets at your enemies, at further ranges.

3. Optic - Axial Arms 3x - This will give you great magnification to hit targets at range, with quick ADS speed and movement.

4. Underbarrel - Spetsnaz Ergonomic Grip - This grip helps you with controlling the vertical and horizontal recoil, which is essential for Tactical Rifles. The slow fire-rate means you must be able to hit your targets accurately, so reducing the recoil and increasing accuracy is crucial.

5. Ammunition - 30 Rnd - This will allow you to fire onto your enemies at speed, with the highest magazine capacity available. ADS speed is not reduced with this magazine compared to others.
