Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising

How Do You Break Large Rocks?

By
Jarrod Garripoli

As you begin your journey in the world of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, you will quickly see that various obstacles will block you from exploring the areas in the game. This page will detail how you will be able to break the large rocks blocking your path.

One of the first obstacles you will run into that hinder your progress is large rocks that simply cannot be broken by CJ’s weapons at all. The first one you will probably encounter is in The Great Forest, to the right of defeating the Great Tree Fiend. No matter what you do, you will not be able to destroy this large rock with CJ, so you will need to come back later. It won’t be until you get your second party member, Garoo, that you will finally be able to break the large rocks.

How to Recruit Garoo and Break Large Rocks

During Main Quest 5: The Miner, the Merc, and the Smithy, you will eventually be joined by your second party member, Garoo. He wields a giant sword and that is what will be able to break the large rocks. In fact, you can’t really proceed with the main quest until you are able to break the rocks. All you have to do is swing your sword with Garoo to break them, so switch to him and attack while next to the large rocks to make them crumble into dust. Once you break them the first time, they will stay broken and do not have to be destroyed again.
