Attaching this cotton to the bottom of one’s feet allows for a temporary reduction in fall damage and sound. It also reduces the sound of one’s footsteps.

If you must court danger, at the very least, tread lightly.

Description

Soft Cotton is a craftable consumable item that can be used to temporarily reduces fall damage and sound. Assassin’s Approach, the Longtail Cat Talisman and Soft Cotton are three items that prevent Fall Damage from being taken. However none of these change the height at which falls become lethal which remains fixed at 20 meters. Using one of these items would mean that the fall damage that would normally have been incurred from 16 m to ~19.9 m isn’t taken at all.

• Soft Cotton can be found against a body at Woodfolk Ruins.
• Soft Cotton can be obtained on a body that is sitting on a chair in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
• Soft Cotton can be looted from a bopy in Morne Tunnel.
• Soft Cotton can be picke up from the broken part of the bridge past the teleporter.

To craft Soft Cotton you will need the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [7] as well as the following Crafting Materials:

• Rowa Fruit x3
• Smoldering Butterfly x1
