Introduction

Where the Wind Blows is a Side Quest available in Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which takes place in the Grasslands region.

How to Start / Where to Find

The quest becomes available after completing the A Rare Card Lost and Livestock’s Bane quests from the Community Noticeboard in Kalm. Players can return to the same location to pick up Where the Wind Blows.

Mission Overview:

The quest involves assisting Broden, who requests the player’s help in aiding Mildred with a windmill repair task in the Grasslands.

Additional Information

After accepting the Side Quest from Broden, players must speak to Mildred at the Windmill Settlement east of Kalm to learn about the repair task.
To complete the task, players must procure the Windmill Gear Transmuter Chip, which requires completing Expedition Intel activities to reveal its location.
The final material needed, the Quetzalcoatl Talon, is obtained by defeating a rare bird, which is revealed as a Classified Intel activity after completing specific Expedition Intel activities.
After acquiring all necessary parts, players must craft the Windmill Gear using the Item Transmuter and deliver it to Mildred.
Upon fixing the windmill, players should return to Broden in Kalm to conclude the Side Quest.
