You’ll find battle-heavy super-tall grass galore to either side of Route 6.

Head north along the lane. The Backpacker at the start isn’t looking for a fight, but the next two trainers are. Their info is as follows:

Trainer Battle: Tourist Hiroko

"Pidgey" IconPidgey 11 Normal/Flying
"Psyduck" IconPsyduck 11 Water

Trainer Battle: Tourist Eriko

Once you’ve humbled both with your awesome team, continue ahead to the palace!

Route 6 - Palais Lane (Side Paths)

There are two side paths to explore that you can only gain entrance to from the palace side. Let’s head down the west one first. Head west of the main entrance to Route 6 and you’ll find one of the side ones.

Head on through. Straight up you’ll come by a double battle! Be careful, this one’s brutal! It can be painful whittling away at their damage and if you can’t manage it you can always walk around them.

Double Battle: Poke Fan Family Jan & Erin

Furfrou aren’t good against Rock, Steel, Ghost or Fighting Pokemon.

Once they’re taken out, head west down the path next to them. Follow it south until you can see the item to your west. Head through the tall grass and grab it to find that it’s a Super Repel . Head back to the path and follow it south. Once you get back to the main path, head north a bit to bump into a random trainer.

Trainer Battle: Beauty Brigitte

Pokémon Level Type
"Espurr" IconEspurr 12 Psychic
"Butterfree" IconButterfree 12 Bug/Flying

Now follow the path east to the ledges. Jump down the one to the east. You’ll see a thin path leading north. Head up it to find an Awakening at the end. Head back then follow the path south. When you reach the next two ledges, take the one leading west.

Follow the thin path south, west, then north up to the berry tree. You’ll find a Aguav Berry lying on the ground in front of it. Pick it up. Head back south. You’ll see a person walking around to your west. Head over and move in front of him to begin a battle.

Trainer Battle: Youngster Tyler

Pokémon Level Type
"Venipede" IconVenipede 12 Bug/Poison
"Scraggy" IconScraggy 12 Dark/Fighting

Backtrack to where you jumped over that ledge and move through the grass down to the path leading south. Move down it until you reach a junction. To your east is the entrance to the lane. Instead, head west from the ledge leading back to the lane and another trainer will jump out from the grass and challenge you.

Trainer Battle: Backpacker Roderick

Pokémon Level Type
"Bunnelby" IconBunnelby 14 Normal

The Ghost/Steel Honedge is weak to Ground, Ghost, Fire and Dark moves.

Keep heading west and you’ll see an item in the south-west corner. Go there and you’ll find that it’s an Ultra Ball . Head back to the main path, head east and jump over the ledge back into the lane. That’s one side done. Head back to the palace, heal your Pokemon up inside and we’ll tackle the right side next.

Head east of the main entrance to Route 6 and you’ll find one of the side entrances. Head on through. Follow the path between the very tall grass leading down to the item. Pick it up to find that it’s an Antidote . Now head back to the path and head along it between the very tall grass and you’ll get stopped by a Backpacker lurking in the grass.

Trainer Battle: Backpacker Jerome

Pokémon Level Type
"Fletchling" IconFletchling 14 Normal/Flying

Head west, then south over the ledge. Continue following the path until you’re stopped by another trainer that was hiding in the grass. Let’s fight!

This is a stupidly difficult battle if you don’t take the Pokémon down fast before he hits you with Confuse Ray , spams Double Team , heals with Moonlight and occasionally Tackles you for added measure and becomes basically invincible. Make sure to save before this one .

Trainer Battle: Tourist Takemi

Pokémon Level Type
"Volbeat" IconVolbeat 14 Bug

Once defeated, head south. Just before the ledge, take the path leading east. Follow it around to the east edge. A Youngster will pop out of the grass.

Trainer Battle: Youngster Jacob

Pokémon Level Type
"Croagunk" IconCroagunk 11 Poison/Fighting
"Beedrill" IconBeedrill 13 Bug/Poison

Look for the small gaps in the grass to grab your items while avoiding wild battles.

Move around him and head north up the eastern lane. You’ll find a Paralyze Heal there. Backtrack to the ledge; jump down it and follow the path around until you see the next ledge.

Grab the item to the north of it just before you jump over. You’ll find TM09 - Venoshock . Awesomesauce! Now jump up the ledge and move into the lane. And you’re done for this route! Time to head to the palace!
