    One-half of the titular heroes of the game, Ratchet is the last known Lombaxes to be known living in the universe, after the race had been brought to near extinction. He resides on Planet Veldin, working in a garage, and after meeting up with Captain Qwark, he strives to become a member of the Galactic Rangers to help save the galaxy from evil. He is good from machines, as evidenced by the fact that he’s a mechanic and fixes up Clank a bit at the beginning of the game.
