Finish an Era with a Village which has 200 Prosperity and 5 Ocean Patches within its Border¶
The most important part of this Development is how you start. You need to force the Nomads to settle their village on the edge of a Forest so that their borders are naturally based in the sea from the very beginning - this makes it possible to achieve this development within thirty minutes.
Place an Ocean, and now place a Forest that is six tiles long leading from the Ocean. Next, place resources - one Forest Giant Plant and one Ocean Giant Animal works well - in the last two spaces. We want to force the village to settle next to the Ocean.
Once the Village has settled, work on filling the ocean with fish. Mackerel from the Ocean Giant, Clownfish from the Swamp Giant. You want to place them in a Mackerel, Mackerel, Clownfish pattern.
Once you finish the village’s first project, grab the Ambassador with the Rock Giant. The Rock Giant’s Exotic Aspect will let you transmute some of the Mackerel into Parrotfish, meaning your ocean will have a Mackerel, Parrotfish, Clownfish pattern. This will create loads of resources for your village and they just won’t be able to help but expand.
The crucial thing to remember, no matter how harsh it may seem, is not to place too many resources in the Forest - focus on the Ocean first. Force the Village’s expansion the way you want it, and have patience; they will expand over time. Earn your five Ocean spaces first, then use either Pear trees or, if you don’t have them, Strawberry and Blueberry combos to work up to that 200 prosperity on land.
