Information about Rooftop Access Discoveries in Saints Row, including how to find and complete Rooftop Access and the rewards you’ll gain for doing so.
What Are Rooftop Access in Saints Row?¶
Rooftop Accesss are a type of Discovery in Saints Row, an optional, freeform, open world activity that typically rewards you with cash and XP when you complete it. Rooftop Accesss, unlike Armored Truck events and Crimes of Opportunity count towards the completion of a region’s Discoveries when completed, and while this won’t increase the passive income generated by any Ventures in that region like completing Threats will, it does count towards various achievments/trophies that task you with conquering various regions.
How to Find and Complete Rooftop Access¶
Rooftop Access are an odd Discovery, as they complete immediately once you find them; if it’s on the map, it’s already considered complete. There’s no action you have to take and no real reward for finding them, but they do count as normal Discoveries when it comes to completing all a region’s Discoveries.
Just because there’s no reward (aside from Discovery completion, anyways) for finding Rooftop Access doesn’t mean they’re useless, however. You can interact with a Rooftop Access to reach the roof of a tall building, where all Rooftop Access events are located. Once there you can leap off said building and deploy your wingsuit by pressing / as you fall. This will naturally allow you to cover a lot of ground quickly without needing to carjack a vehicle, and the height provided will allow you to complete (or at least increment) a variety of Wingsuit Challenges, such as Wing It and [Shady Oaks]. These particular Challenges are perhaps best left to Weather Stations, however, as the heights attained by most Rooftop Access discoveries aren’t really all that useful for performing Wingsuit Bounces. Rooftop Access Discoveries are useful for the Terminal Velocity Challenge, however, as its objectives are more Lakeshore-specific, where Rooftop Access Discoveries are exclusively located.
