Assassin's Creed: Origins

Main Quest - The Final Weighing - Part 2

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 32

After pillaging Siwa, Flavius made his way back north, towards Cyrene, and Bayek’s only tangible lead is a farm on the border of Cyrene, near which Flavius may have passed. Perhaps the farmers there have seen something? Summon your mount and ride north through the Libue province and into the middle of the Green Mountains provice, where you’ll find the farm.

If the people worshipping Flavius along the way seems like a bad sign, the scene is even worse at the farm. Use Senu to spot something of interest when you get near the search area, then dismount and investigate on foot to find Praxilla dealing with a more malicious example of Flavius’s power than previously displayed. After the conversation, use Senu to spot a survivor - and the Roman soldiers near the build the survivor is in. Kill the Romans, then climb onto a balcony along the northeastern edge of the building to find the survivor, Nenet, who tells a tale of horror.

Kill the Roman soldiers patrolling the farm (left) then talk to the woman who bore witness to Flavius’ power (right).

Escort her outside and more chatter will ensue, where a laundry list of problems will be present for Bayek to resolve, setting the stage for the next round of side quests in the northwest. Nenet wants you to free her family member, Kade, who is being held captive by General Agrippa in the Kyrenaika Roman Citadel to hte north, while Praxilla will suggest you head to Cyrene and gain the confidence of a confederate of hers named Diocles. This starts the quests “ Playing with Fire “ (Suggested Level: 33) and “ One Bad Apple “ (Suggested Level: 35), and upgrades the suggested level of “ The Final Weighing “ to thirty-five.

Since the main story jumps both in level and geographical location and so many side quests - some loosely tied to the overall battle with Flavius, some not - have popped up, now is a fine time to focus on those quests and begin undermining Flavius’s power in the northwest… and generally helping out folks in need, which more often than not involves killing Romans.

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
