There is an abundance of resources to find throughout Pandora, but some aren’t easy to spot because their color allows them to blend into the environment. Fire Seeds are scattered across the Upper Plains but you’ll need to be in a specific biome to find them, namely the Windswept Grasslands. This biome can be found in the Mother of Rivers sub-region, and it’s one of the first places you’ll begin to explore in the Upper Plains. On this page, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about where to find Fire Seeds, with some tips for how to identify them in the landscape.
Fire Seed is a cooking ingredient that can be found in the Windswept Grasslands biome of the Upper Plains.
Where to Find Fire Seeds in Avatar¶
You won’t be able to start looking for Fire Seeds until you reach the second region, Upper Plains, so you’ll need to progress through the main story until you’ve completed the mission, The Wandering Clan. However, we recommend that you complete the following mission Hunters Hunted as this will give you access to your Ikran. You’ll now want to travel over to a Windswept Grasslands biome, one of the first of which you can find in the Mother of Rivers sub-region in the northern portion of the Upper Plains. You can then make your way over to Greatheart Lake.
You’ll now find Fire Seeds scattered all around the open field, but we’ve managed to find a few near the Sheltered Shore Resistance Field Lab. Before you’re able to harvest them, you’ll need to set them alight by shooting them with an arrow, then if you want to keep the Fire Seeds in pristine condition you’ll want to push the analog stick up when harvesting it. Once you’ve managed to gather one Fire Seed you’ll want to pin it in your Hunter’s Guide, as this will highlight any you come across.
What is Fire Seed Used for in Avatar?¶
There are a lot of ingredients that you can use to cook interesting dishes in Pandora. However, if you use Fire Seeds as one of the two ingredients, then your dish will have the additional effect of Nimble Gatherer I which increases your Core Stats by +10% when gathering. You’ll find three different qualities of Fire Seeds, such as Fine, Superior, and Exquisite.

How to Get Superior Fire Seeds in Avatar¶
You’ll eventually get a Staunch Guardians - Clan Contribution Side Quest which requires Superior Fire Seeds. These can also be found in the Greatheart Lake area, but if you aren’t coming across any easily, then you can try looking under the Celebration Arches which is located in The Celebration Valley sub-region.
