You will come across many different materials and items in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, some of which are a little trickier to acquire than others. One such item is the Vine Fiber, something that is used in crafting Waist pieces of armor. Not only is the Vine Fiber a bit difficult to find, but it’s also something that can be a little challenging to harvest, if you don’t know what you’re doing. This page will talk about where to find the Vine Fiber, as well as how to harvest it.

Where to Find the Vine Fiber in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora¶
The Vine Fiber is something you might have passed up plenty of times, as it’s found on a common piece of terrain. As you explore the various areas in Kinglor Forest, you will undoubtedly cross a large vine, known in-game as great vines. These great vines basically act as bridges and pathways from one section of the map to another. Because of that, you won’t find them in a specific area or biome. However, they are also the home to the Vine Fiber material, as they will be hanging on the side of them.
Thus, if you’re searching for some fiber for crafting, it’s important to use your Na’vi Senses to check the side of those great vines. Should you see something pop up with your senses, then it’s likely the Vine Fiber. Finding them is only one part of the solution, as harvesting them is something else you have to figure out here. If you check your Hunter’s Guide, it mentions that the Vine Fiber needs to be shot down from its elevated position to be harvested. The slight problem with this is that there’s no indication when you knock it down, but a single shot is more than enough to do so. Once you knock it to the ground, find it to harvest it like any other material.

Vine Fiber Uses¶
The Vine Fiber, like all other fiber types, can be used to craft pieces of armor in the Waist slot. You will always want to try for the Exquisite version of the Vine Fiber, since that will always give you more stats when crafting an item.
How to Harvest the Vine Fiber¶
As mentioned above, once you find one, shoot it down with any weapon to knock the material to the ground. Find it after doing that to harvest it. Anything you harvest will always need to be plucked from a specific direction and if you don’t do that, it will affect the quality. For the Vine Fiber, you will be holding the analog stick to the right before you pull it out of its spot. In addition to this, the quality will be better if you harvest them during the day.
Locations for Rare Vine Fiber¶
If you wish to find some rarer versions of the Vine Fiber, you will need to head to the Shadow Hollow area in the east of the Kinglor Forest.
Where to Find Pale Vine Fiber in Avatar¶
Some of the resources in the game have a Pale variant, which is a much stronger version of the material. As an example, the normal Vine Fiber (Exquisite) will range from 36-40 for its stats, while the Pale Vine Fiber can range from 83-95 (it only comes in Exquisite). However, the Pale variant is a lot rarer than the normal version, as is the case with the Pale Vine Fiber. It is only found in one spot in the Upper Plains, although unlike some of the other Pale versions, this one will always be there.

To find the Pale Vine Fiber, head to the northern end of the Upper Plains, to the First Zakru location. There is a tunnel-like opening underneath, which is where you want to go. While under there, look up along the western rocky wall to see some materials. These will be the Pale Vine Fiber and they are the same as the normal versions, in terms of how to harvest them (push analog stick to the right after shooting them down). The only difference is that to ensure the best quality, you have to harvest them during a hurricane. So, if you wish to do this, there is a Na’vi Camp to the southeast (Walker’s Haven) that you can pass time at, until you get that hurricane.
