This is your first real test to see how much you’ve learnt so far. You will be putting all your new skills to the test at once as you fly a 21 checkpoint course at low altitude. You will need to use your rudders and the odd knife flight to get through in Gold medal time. Be very careful of your altitude and try to keep slightly above the checkpoints to give you a little more breathing space.
For the first few checkpoints, just use your rudders a tiny bit to get in line with the checkpoints. You don’t need to steer much and tipping the plane is not necessary, though you may have to combat a little turbulence depending how good a flyer you have. Eventually you will come to the first double arrow checkpoint and here you will need to keep the rudder held down to make the next checkpoints. Tilt the plane a little if you need a faster turn.
You will turn back on yourself to fly over the docks. There will be a few obstacles here so try not to skim over there; keep plenty of airspace above the checkpoints if you can. Watch the poles above the shipping containers because they are right in your flight path. As you head back to the water, use a lot of rudder to make that next checkpoint.
Finally, fly through the next checkpoints, banking a little to the right with the rudder and to the checkered finish line. You don’t need to worry about landing.
