Information

The Cerberus Assault Gear pack is a DLC pack that contains a new armor - Cerberus Assault Armor - and weapon - M-22 Eviscerator - for your squad. The pack can only be obtained through the Cerberus Network (which requires a separate download/purchase). It was released on 9th February 2010.

Cerberus Assault Armor

This armor is very useful for Soldiers and Sentinels because of its boost to shields and health.

Note: Like all special armor, the Cerberus Assault Armor cannot be customised.

Official Description : “ Designed with three things in mind: shields, thick armor, and auxiliary ammo packs, the Cerberus Assault Armor is given to shock troopers who are expected to turn the tide of battle against forces that would decimate normal soldiers. The troops demanded three things in its design: shields, armor thick enough to last against a superior foe, and a rechargeable pack to extend a heavy weapon power cell. The only drawback of the armor is its weight, which the troops carry as a point of pride. They have a saying: “Out of shape going in, in shape coming out.”“

Armor Statistics: +10% Heavy Weapon Ammo Capacity, +10% Shield Strength, +10% Health.

Combat Tactics: This armor is exceptionally useful for Insanity difficulty if you are the Soldier or Sentinel class that relies on armor and shields for protection. Its health and shield boosts are very useful, especially in the beginning of the game and since it is a free download, it makes a lot of sense for these classes to equip it.

M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun

The Eviscerator is deadly at close-range and still maintains good damage at long-range.

Note: Aside from Shepard, this weapon can only be used by Jacob, Grunt, Tali and Jack.

Official Description: “ The Lieberschaft 2180 shotgun, or “Eviscerator,” is of human civilian design and has a unique ammunition generator. Where most modern firearms shave off chips or pellets from an ammunition block, the M-22 shaves off serrated metal wedges designed to fly aerodynamically. This dramatically improves its armor-piercing capabilities, and its tight grouping helps wound ballistics at longer ranges than standard shotguns. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22 is not distributed to militaries.

Combat Tactics: The Eviscerator uses default weapon range damage multipliers rather than shotgun-specific ones. At range, this means it does the same damage as an assault rifle making this weapon highly effective for classes that struggle at medium range like the Vanguard. Infiltrators can also make good use of it in combination with the Tactical Cloak as a point-blank assassination tool.
