Marie is more desperate than ever to make us her prisoners, and her fixation on doing so has left her overextended. Now is the time to strike at the prison, to free some more rebels - vital manpower we’ll need to launch a full assault on Marie. While Marie’s forces may be vulnerable, their numbers still present a problem, but with a bit of subterfuge, we can shift the odds even further in our favor. Toshiro calls for a decoy, and what more enticing target is there than Erina, the face of the rebellion? This page will provide a walkthrough for Mission 16 - Her Crusade in Persona 5 Tactica, providing information on how to reach the target and complete all the awards.
All Award Walkthrough for Mission 16 - Her Crusade in Persona 5 Tactica¶
This is an odd mission inasmuch as your goal isn’t defeating all the enemies on the map - or really even defeating anything on the map. Your only objective is getting Erina to the target location in the upper left, although you’ll earn awards for completing the following objectives:
- Clear the stage
- Clear within 8 turns
- Player hurt fewer than 5 times
It’s the last one - “Player hurt fewer than 5 times” - that might give you trouble, but honestly, you’re either making a brisk pace and taking no damage, or you’re probably doing something wrong. As you may suspect, picking your targets and using One Mores to get across the map quickly is the way to go, making this mission oddly similar to one of the 1 turn quests you may have attempted (Quest 2 and Quest 4). That being the case, we’ll give you a step-by-step rundown for how to navigate this map cleanly, efficiently, and without taking a single hit!
Mission 16 - Persona 5 Tactica - Step by Step Guide¶
As soon as the mission starts, a Grenadier will spawn behind Erina, and if this creature catches you, it’s a good sign that something has gone horribly awry. Mostly it’s there to encourage you to make haste up the ladder, warn you that enemies can appear out of nowhere, and keep you from trying to camp or fight at any point during this mission.
Step 1: Head over towards the ladder, get as close as possible, then shoot the explosive barrel on the platform above you. This will knock a nearby Sniper down and remove a potential hazard.
Step 2: Climb up the ladder, head to the edge of the platform, and shoot the Sniper you explosively dislodged earlier to score a One More. Thanks to Erina’s gun AoE, this will also hit an explosive barrel on a nearby platform and send another Sniper flying to the ground below.
Step 3: Use a dash tile to vault over to another platform. Since you destroyed the explosive barrel up here earlier, there’s not really anything in your way.
Step 4: Advance until you’re standing near some barrels and shoot the second Sniper you sent flying, who is now on the ground below you. This will net you a second One More.
Step 5: Work your way around the barrels to reach a second dash tile, which will take you to the third platform. Ignore a Shotgunner to your left and instead go down a ladder to the right and take cover near three barrels. There’s also a healing tile here, but you shouldn’t need it. You can shoot the barrel ahead of you to end the turn, just to get it out of the way - don’t shoot the one near the platforms, however. Not bad for a single turn! On the enemy’s turn, more Snipers will appear as well as a Commandant - an elite Grenadier, and he’s here to usher you to the finish line. Oh, and some more Shotgunners will destroy an explosive barrel while trying to shoot at you. Fun.
Step 6: Head forward a few tiles and, depending on what gun you have equipped, you may be able to shoot a Sniper who ended up exposed after the Shotgunner destroyed an explosive barrel. This part of the mission is somewhat RNG-y, depending on what gun you have equipped and how much damage you’ve dealt - it’s possible to have injured the Sniper over the past turn enough that the Shotgunner’s blast will do him in, removing a target for you to exploit. Not that it really matters, as you’re pretty much in the home stretch now. Pick off the explosive barrels in front of you as you move from full cover to full cover and you’re golden. Depending on whether you can fish for a final One More and what your movement range is (it’s unlikely you’ve managed to grind enough to get Erina’s Godlike Speed passive) it may take another two or three turns to reach the objective, but Erina handily outpaces the pursuit and there’s plenty of cover.
Park Erina on the glowing objective tiles and you’ll complete the mission - at worst this should have taken five turns, but you shouldn’t have suffered a single scratch. Not too shabby.
