Pokémon Legends: Arceus

How to Find & Evolve Eevee

By
Ben Chard

This page explains how to obtain "Eevee" IconEevee and evolve it in Pokémon Legends "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

Eevee Location

Obsidian Fieldlands - Horseshoe Plains

You can actually obtain Eevee fairly early on, if you’re lucky enough to encounter it as a rare spawn in the first region, the Obsidian Fieldlands. Enter via the Fieldlands Camp and head towards the southeast to Horseshoe Plains. The first spawn location for Eevee here is in the middle of the two larger pools of water to the south of the plains. The second spawn can be found to the north of the first, in the middle of the three smaller pools of water here. You’ll want to approach carefully, as there will only be a single spawn of Eevee.

How to Evolve Eevee

Eevee is a unique Pokémon that has several evolutionary forms. In total, it can evolve into 8 different forms.

Vaporeon

The water evolution of Eevee.

To evolve Eevee into the Water-type "Vaporeon" IconVaporeon, a Water Stone is required. You can acquire these in Space Time Distortions and via the Merit Point Trader in Jubilife Village.

Jolteon

The Thunder evolution of Eevee.

A Thunder Stone is needed to evolve Eevee into the Electric-type "Jolteon" IconJolteon. You can acquire these in Space Time Distortions and can also encounter Jolteon itself inside one. Thunder Stones can also be bought from the Merit Point Trader in Jubilife Village.

Flareon

The fire evolution of Eevee.

To evolve Eevee into the Fire-type "Flareon" IconFlareon, you need a Fire Stone. You can find Fire Stones in Space Time Distortions, inside the orange Tumblestone resource rocks and from the Merit Point Trader in Jubilife Village.

Espeon and Umbreon

First appearing in the Johto region, the Psychic-type "Espeon" IconEspeon will evolve from an Eevee with max Friendship during the Morning or Day. Meanwhile, the Dark-type "Umbreon" IconUmbreon will evolve from an Eevee with max Friendship during the Night.

To boost Eevee’s friendship, you can use these methods, ordered from most effective to least:

  • Use Eevee in battle.
  • Feed it EXP Candy.
  • Use Items on it in battle.
  • Walk around with Eevee in your party.
  • Use Eevee to gather resources.

Leafeon

Debuting in the Sinnoh region, there are two ways for the Grass-type "Leafeon" IconLeafeon to evolve from Eevee. One, you can simply use a Leaf Stone or alternatively, you can use the old method of leveling up Eevee after touching the Mossy Rock found to the southwest of the Obsidian Fieldlands near Grandtree Arena.

Glaceon

Similarly, there are two ways for the Ice-type "Glaceon" IconGlaceon to evolve from Eevee. The first is by simply using an Ice Stone, alternatively you can use the old method of leveling up Eevee after touching the Ice Rock in Bonechill Waste’s Ice Cave.

Sylveon

(1 of 2) Make sure Eevee has a Fairy-type move, such as Baby-Doll Eyes.

Missing from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, "Sylveon" IconSylveon makes its return here and is arguably the easiest to evolve to as soon as you catch an Eevee. Once caught, head to the Move Tutor in Jubilife Village and teach Eevee any Fairy type move such as Baby-Doll Eyes. Proceed to max Eevee’s friendship and then when Eevee levels up, it will evolve into Sylveon.
