Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

Road to the Capital

By

Passage on the Cliffs

Enemy Species HP Items
Gerel Plant 310 Gerel Secretion, Seaweed
Killer Chelae Insect 300 Shellfish Meat, Seaweed
Land Turtle Beast 330 Tortoise Shell, Shellfish Meat, Raw Fish
Marine Reaper Beast 310 Fish Scales, Raw Fish

Follow the path ahead of you to come to a small open area with a save point, so feel free to use it if you want. Keep going and you’ll eventually run into some enemies, with the game giving you a tutorial on certain things, like encountering enemies and even escaping from battles. After vanquishing your foes, you should see a little dead end path, where you’ll find a chest with Blackberries x2 in it.

Continue southeast and in the area with the small hole on the map, there will be another chest on the northern end (it contained no items). There will also be a chest on the isolated section of the map not far from where you found the previous chest, but it is locked, so you can’t open it right now. If you have the Harvesting skill, there will be another chest with a Mint in it right by harvest spot to the south. You will find yet another chest with a Fresh Sage in it in the dead end area east of that.

Head north and ignore the path on the left, as it doesn’t have anything. Before going through the tunnel, head west of it to find a chest that has Fish Scales x3 in it. Although the things on the wall in the area past the tunnel look important, they are merely decoration, so ignore them and grab the Blueberry Potion from the chest before continuing east. There will be a bridge here, but don’t cross it yet and snatch the Arcane Bracelet from the chest on the west side of the area (increases max MP, so might be good for Miki).

The first kind of Gerels are nice to use for achieving the Block Consecutive Attacks battle trophies, since they only use weak attacks.

Cross the bridge and you’ll likely see some Land Turtles there, who seem to like to guard a lot, so make sure you use strong attacks to break it. To the south of them will be a winding path with a chest at the end ( Iron Ore x3 ). Go back to the previous area and head east, grabbing the Wooden Stick from the chest to the north and Blueberries x3 from the chest in the area right before going to the Coast of Minoz.

Coast of Minoz

Enemy Species Items
Gerel Plant Gerel Secretion, Seaweed
Killer Chelae Insect Shellfish Meat, Seaweed
Kobold Beast Raw Fish, Hand-Spun Thread, Wolf Fang
Land Turtle Beast Tortoise Shell, Shellfish Meat, Raw Fish
Marine Reaper Beast Fish Scales, Raw Fish

There will be another save point as soon as you enter the area, so make sure you use it before continuing forward. Now, you will find yourself at a fork in the road, with one path going north and another going south. Head north for now and you’ll find a chest on the little cliff ( Aquaberries ). Continue east and head into the little north outlet to find a chest with Seasonings x2 in it, then you’ll find one more chest on the cliff to the east (not the one directly south from the previous chest; has no items).

You will hear a roaring noise before arriving at the big open area on the eastern side of the map, so before you go there, head back to the beginning and take the southern path this time. There will be a chest ( Fish Scales x3 ) on the beach, on the side with the enemies, then another one in the little alcove east of that one ( Iron Ore x2 ). There’s nothing else along this path, so head to the open area from before to spot a giant Gerel.

BOSS - Discord Gerel

There’s nothing really to this boss, as it’s just a giant version of the Gerels you’ve been fighting up to this point. It’s probably a good idea to take care of the little Gerels before concentrating on the big one, as the Discord Gerel will simply keep attacking you without being fazed by your hits. Eventually, a blonde swordsman will show up and help you out in the battle, so keep wailing away at the enemies until they die.

Take out the normal Gerels (left) before going after the boss. Countering is a viable attack method against the boss, since it only uses weak attacks (right).

It turns out the swordsman is named Victor and he is a soldier in the Resulian Army. He has the same skill, Double Slash, as Fidel, as well as an additional skill called Nether Strike. In addition to this, he comes with a new Role, Defender, which is nice for a tank character. Anyway, continue north, ignoring the chest at the northern end, since it is locked, and go into Myiddok.

Myiddok

Your goal in this town, at first, is to head to the inn, but you’re free to explore it without doing that yet. You can find a chest by the docks that contains Fresh Vegetables x2 , Tomato x2 and Lemon x2 , as well as another one in the little alcove to the east of the inn ( Vegetable Stir-Fry ). On the eastern side of the town is an equipment shop that has some better stuff for Fidel and Miki, at least. The accessories there might be a bit much for your budget, although that depends on how much Fol you have acquired.

Directly across from the equipment shop is Welch’s Vineyard and upon entering, you will be treated to a Private Action that will ultimately lead you to getting your first Quest of the game. This is a very simple Quest that requires you to deliver 5 Blueberries to Welch, which you should have in your inventory, unless you squandered them all in the previous areas. If you did that, make sure you stock up on more and hand some in to Welch to finish the Quest.

That’s all you can do for now, so head to the inn to find someone standing by the front door…who runs away after you bump into her. Head into the inn and Victor will take care of the bill this time. Once you wake up and have control again, exit the inn and go towards the west gate, where you’ll meet up with Victor again, as well as another person named Fiore Brunelli. Both of them will join up with your group, so head out the nearby gate.

Resulian Plains

Enemy Species Items
Dryad Plant Nectar, Mint, Lemon
Killer Wasp Insect Bee Stinger
Lizard Soldier Beast Iron, Blueberries
Mist Grave Plant Tasty Mushroom, Colorful Mushrooms
Peryton Avian Peryton Droppings, Common Eggs
Pygmy Glaive Plant Tasty Mushroom, Colorful Mushrooms

With both Victor and Fiore in your party, it’s a good idea to go around and grind a bit on the enemies in the area, mostly for SP. The Resulian Plains is a pretty big place, as you can see from the map, but you only need to explore a bit of it to get to Central Resulia. From where you entered the plains, follow the southern wall to come upon a chest that contains Blackberry Potion x2 . Keep following the edge until you get to the northwest portion of this initial area, where there will be another chest with Olive Oil x2 inside.

Take the chance to grind some on the Resulian Plains (right), since you have Fiore in your party for now (left).

In the northeast portion of this initial area will be one more chest with Iron x5 inside of it, so grab it and continue west. Just east of the entrance to Central Resulia is another chest with an Acuity Potion in it. This item will temporarily boost your MEN by 20% in battle, for a total of 60 seconds. If you wish to continue the story, simply head into Central Resulia, but to get some extra experience, SP and even some extra treasures, keep exploring the plains.

Follow the northern wall that connects to Central Resulia to the west and as it curves north, you will spot another treasure chest (no items inside this one). Unfortunately, you can’t access the western portion of the map that’s past the very big area, so you’re restricted for now. In the middle of the northwestern portion, though, you should be able to see a chest that’s out in the open, but it’s locked, so keep exploring.

See that harvest spot in the southwest? There’s a chest slightly northwest from it that contains Fortitude Potion x2 (similar to the Acuity Potion, but with DEF). Keep following the southern edge of the map to come across another chest that contains a Light Charm in it, which is another temporary in-battle buff. There are two chests to be found by the southern exit, which is blocked for now. They will contain Fresh Sage x2 and a Solar Signet, Vol. 1 . The latter will increase the mastery of both Miki’s Fire Bolt and Fiore’s Wind Blade skills. It’s better to apply it to Fire Bolt, as you will see shortly. Just south of the “blockage” on the eastern side of the map will be one more chest, containing Health Seeds , which increases a character’s HP permanently by 50. Once you’re finished fooling around, head inside Central Resulia.

Central Resulia

There isn’t much to do here or buy, as the equipment is the same as in Myiddok, so feel free to look around the city. In the first open area, you will find the bulletin board, where you will notice that’s there’s two new Quests available for you. Before you do them, head west of the bulletin board to find the inn, making sure to rest and save your game, especially if you did a lot of grinding in the plains. There’s also a chest in the one room in the inn, which contains a Charred Meat .

Back to the bulletin board, you should have the items necessary to complete both Quests, and the First Steps as a Collector one will unlock a new Role for you (Scavenger) upon finishing it. There are two more chests in Central Resulia, both of which are in the northern area. One is along the southern side ( Holy Water ), while the other is in the northwest ( Energy Crest ), although you can’t get it until you trigger the story event here. Well, that didn’t turn out as planned, so it’s time to head back to Sthal, with Victor saying to use the Dakaav Footpath to reach it faster. Make sure you grab the one chest you couldn’t before and exit Central Resulia.
