Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

Sidequesting (4)

First and foremost, there are a bunch of PAs available on the Charles D. Goale, although none of them actually unlock anything. However, you will find a whistle PA in Myiddok called “Miki’s Grandiose Dream” that will unlock the Minstrel Role , which increases your SP intake by 50% once it’s maxed out! In addition to that, you might find a random PA in Myiddok called “Stances Like Daril’s” that unlocks the Boon Companion Role . Lastly, there is one more Role you can get ( Vivifier ) from the “The Plague” PA in Eastern Trei’kur.

Once you’ve gotten all of the Roles and looked at the PAs, there are many new Quests out there in the world. If you didn’t happen to do it prior, travel to Myiddok and seek out Welch for a new quest, called Behavioral Study. Unlike her previous quests, you only need to defeat a single enemy to finish, with the enemy located in Trei’kuran Dunes. It is called a Sanddozer and will be in the middle of the entire map, so defeat it and bring the item it drops back to Welch to learn the Authoring Specialty skill. You can use this skill to make Signet Cards to use in battle, as well as make skill books for everyone but Emmerson and Anne.

The Minstrel role is great if you want extra experience (left). Finishing Behavioral Study will grant you the Authoring creation skill (right).

There are a number of the other quests that you can finish now, so go ahead and do them now that you have the option to teleport. For example, you couldn’t get Laurel Trees from enemies before, but now you can, as the Lamia Radix in Resulian Plains and Man Traps in Trei’kuran Dunes drop it. The latter enemy also drop Zephyr Lilies, which is needed for another quest. You should be able to do most of the Quests, including some of the new ones you will find from the bulletin boards in the three major cities. However, there are a few that will require items dropped from enemies later in the story, or they may be easier to acquire.

The last thing you can do at this point is finishing up the second set Cathedral of Oblivion portals around the world. You might have done one or two of them earlier, whenever they first changed to new monsters, but it’s probably possible that you can clear the rest of them. The end monster you fight is called Vidofnir, and ranges in level from 45 to 65. The portals, in order of the levels just listed, are located in Coast of Minoz, Resulian Plains, West of the Eastern Eihieds, Trei’kuran Dunes, and Northern Territory of Sohma. The equipment isn’t amazing, but you can get a Faerie/Healing Band from the final two areas, which will help with regenerating HP/MP during battles.
