With his Rank 4 Piloting skill, Sam excels as a pilot, enabling him to handle powerful Class C ships. Moreover, when on board, your ship’s cargo capacity increases by 50%, thanks to his Rank 2 Payloads skill. Sam’s Rank 3 Rifle Certification skill makes him a top choice for expeditions, granting you a 30% boost in rifle damage. Additionally, his Rank 1 Geology skill increases your collection of common and uncommon inorganic resources, including valuable ores.

Recruitment

To recruit Sam Coe in Starfield, complete the “Mission: The Empty Nest.” This mission involves tracking Sam Coe’s whereabouts during an expedition. It becomes available after completing “The Old Neighborhood” and can be obtained at The Lodge in the Alpha Centauri System. During this mission, you’ll encounter a hostage situation, which you can resolve by persuading or eliminating the robbers and securing maps to aid Sam Coe. Afterward, speak to Sam Coe again at New Atlantis and he will jhoin your crew.
