We are all aware that Souls-like games can take a while to beat, thanks to their lengthy campaigns, difficult bosses and strong learning curve. Steelrising is among the list of Souls-like games, with its action RPG combat, soul-collecting features, and more. So, the question is, how long is Steelrising and what is the time to beat Steelrsiing? Is it as big as other souls like games, or has it broken the mould?
Time to beat Steelrising¶
Here are our current estimates for determining how long Steelrising is:
- Main Story: 10-12 hours
- Side content and collectables 20-25 hours
- Platinum Trophy: 40-50 hours (skill dependant and can exceed this estimation)
Having played the game ourselves, we can say that our save total playtime was around 20 hours played. This includes completing the main story, along with most other side content in the game, bar a few things here and there.
If you only played the game for its main story, you could realistically expect to finish it within 12 hours, depending on your skill level and familiarity with Souls games.
After that, you have the regular complete most of the side content stuff. There are quite a few side quests that progress alongside the main storyline of the game and then other optional stuff for trophies and achievements. It took us around 20 hours of time to beat Steelrising, doing most of the optional and side content. We estimate that a full side content playthrough, completing all side content and finding all collectables could take around 25 hours to beat Steelrising.
For the 100% completionists out there, it seems there are a few trophies you need to play the game more than once for. Therefore, you could spend another 10-20 hours on the game to grab the remaining side-content trophies you missed out on the first time. There are also a few trophies in the game that are very skill dependent. Therefore, those players going for can expect a further 10-15 hours depending on their goals.
