As you can see, the map here has a completely new novelty. Here’s what’s up:
“The ground beneath an enemy will determine how they change. The red tiles will turn enemies into advanced classes, while the blue will turn them into base classes.”
It only affects the enemies, not you, first of all, which is nice. Second, it does not affect experience yield if an enemy drops to a prepromoted class. It only drops their stats and might potentially make them unable to attack depending on if they’re using a weapon only the promoted class can use. If you can, try to abuse the blue rooms as often as possible. You’ll eventually be forced to be on the red rooms, and if you’d like, you can use a Dragon Vein in the far right of the map to swap the spots. Not necessary but it’s there.
Make sure you bring someone with Locktouch, there are more chests than Chest Keys in this map and they contain neat goodies!
Otherwise there’s not much tactical complexity to this map. Fight your way room by room, take a break to nab all the chests. Once you get close enough to the final room, Anthony, now a Faceless, will be on full aggro and will use his maximum movement range to find you. So you can’t drag out the fight forever. Reinforcements will periodically arrive on the later turns as well in the north, and they will move south to flank you. As a Faceless, Anthony can’t hit from range and he also has bad Resistance, so not a very difficult boss.
