There are a variety of minigames that can be found while exploring in Infinity Nikki such as Fishing. Read on to find out how to unlock and what you get for collecting them.

Lookout for whirlpools to begin fishing!

Unlocking Fishing¶

You won’t be able to start the relaxing fishing minigame until you’ve obtained the sketch via the Heart of Infinity and crafted the Fishing Outfit (Rippling Serenity) which will become available during the Unexplained Coma Incidents Main Quest. It’ll require five Daisies, one Foodie Bee, one Floof Yarn and 72 Thread of Purity and you can find them by following the steps below:

• Daisies: These can be found in large open patches of grass in every area.
• Foodie Bee: These can be captured via the Bug Catching Ability
• Floof Yarn: These can be acquired by using the Animal Grooming Ability
• Thread of Purity: These can be acquired by defeating various enemies out in the world.

Once you’ve acquired the Fishing Outfit, you’ll want to track down a fishing spot to get started. These are located around the map, but not all patches of water are suitable for fishing, so you’ll want to lookout for small Whirlpools as this will indicate there are fish in that area. Upon finding a spot with fish, switch to the Fishing Outfit and press square on a controller to throw out the line.

When you get a bite you’ll want to pull the analog stick down to begin the process and then push the analog stick in the opposite direction of the fish until it runs out of energy. Now you’ll want to press the square button as quickly as you can to reel it in.

What are Fish Used For?¶

There are a couple of reasons to partake in some fishing, but the primary reason is that it’ll allow you to craft new pieces of clothing and this will allow you to complete various course challenges, such as collecting a specific type of clothing or creating outfits for a certain style and this will allow you to increase your stylist rank. Additionally, certain fish may be required to complete certain main/side quests, so we recommend doing some fishing when you come across a spot!
