Xenoblade Chronicles 3

The Future I Want to Spin

By
Jarrod Garripoli

This is a guide for The Future I Want to Spin Standard Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

How to Start The Future I Want to Spin Standard Quest

(1 of 2) One of the two Info Fragments needed for this quest

One of the two Info Fragments needed for this quest (left), The other Info Fragment needed for this quest (right)

First of all, you will need to have completed Fiona’s Ascension Quest, A Farewell Reset. This quest becomes available in Chapter 6, and requires you to complete all other quests at Colony Mu, as well as getting Lanz to Rank 10 with the Signifier class. Once you have done that, there will be two pieces of Info in Colony Mu, netting you the Changes Afoot in Colony Mu Info. Discuss this at a rest spot to start the quest.

While discussing the Info, you receive a message that sounds like Tussore is in trouble. Find them and talk with Tussore, who mentions that they aren’t in trouble. It turns out that they are actually trying to raise Armus, although they don’t really have a clue on how to do it. The party hasn’t heard of doing this, with neither faction having read nothing on the manner. This prompts them to see if the City has any textbooks on Armu raising, so it’s time to head there. If you haven’t returned to the City since it’s been relocated, go to Farview Cape and speak to the NPC at the end to go there.

Wellwell will sell you both of the books you need

You can find both books being sold by Wellwell, with both books costing 5,000 G each. Purchase them and bring them back to Tussore, who browses through them to get an understanding of things. This brings them to essentially ask for help on procuring some food for the Armus. Similar to some other quests, a list of foods will be given if you speak to Tussore again, with each one contributing towards a progress bar. Fill that bar up to 100% to continue with the quest. You can find a list of items below, including a location for each one.

Item Location Progress
Armu Barley Corne Island/Migrow’s Rosary (Cadensia Region) 10%
Dish Philodendron Daedal Isle (Cadensia Region); By Tengate Ruins 4%
Frangible Yam Daedal Isle (Cadensia Region); By Tengate Ruins 4%
Plumage Peach Ishan Isle (Cadensia Region) 10%
Dance Apple Yzana Plains (north of Colony 9) 10%
Heart Peach Hovering Reef 6/Hovering Reef 7 (Keves Castle Region) 20%
Accord Acorn Daedal Isle (Cadensia Region); By Tengate Ruins 4%
Khaki Kernel Laprel Knoll (Ribbi Flats) 10%

After filling up their little bellies, Tussore asks you to do one more thing. She will ask you to pick out a pair of Armu and Ardun to mate. You will have a choice of four pairs, although it doesn’t seem like this will actually matter in the end. Of course, it only makes a little sense to do something like Rascally and Impulsive, or Easygoing and Timid, as those personalities tend to mesh well together. Of course, you will have the option to actually change your answer, so you could change your mind. Once you’ve finalized your choice, you just have to wait for it to rain.

(1 of 3) The bottom option should be a safe choice

Thankfully, similar to Zeon’s Ascension Quest, there is a Nopon in the Cadensia Region that will be able to make it rain. To get to that Nopon, fast travel to the Seaspray Lookout, then take the zip-line west and the next one south to reach an island with a spiraling path. Follow this path up and you should see Pitapata standing right next to a Container. Speak to him and pay 10,000 G to make it rain, then return to Colony Mu and Tussore to finish the quest.
