Xenoblade Chronicles 3

How to Recruit Melia in Xenoblade 3

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for the postgame quests in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, explaining how to recruit Melia, Queen of Keves.

How to Recruit Melia

(1 of 2) You need to save the game after the post-credits scene.

After defeating Z Infinity and completing the game, make sure to save the game when prompted. This will create a completed save file, with a Flame Clock icon next to it.

If you continue from the completed save file, two new quest-related events will appear on the world map, related to the two postgame Heroes–one of which we’ll be discussing next.

(1 of 2) Look for this quest-related marker at the main gate of Keves Castle.

Melia’s quest-related event is located right near the Main Castle Gate landmark in the Keves Castle Region, on the 1st floor of Keves Castle itself, towards the far north.

When you approach the marker, Melia will attempt to leave the castle incognito, but her guards notice at the last minute. However, after some convincing words, she joins Noah’s entourage on a journey of Aionios.

This will unlock Melia as a Hero and add her Royal Summoner class to Noah’s class list.

How to Open the Locked Door at the Grand Tower Walkway

(1 of 2) The locked door will light up and disintegrate if Melia is with you.

With Melia in your party, you can access the locked door at the south end of Keves Castle’s 4th floor, past the Grand Tower Walkway landmark. This leads to a hidden elevator that connects to the Queen’s Chambers on the 5th floor.

(Although you can drop down from the Grand Tower Skygarden to reach the Queen’s Chamber if you’re smart/reckless.)
