This is a unique mission that plays out as an interactive cutscene, it’s time for John and Charles (with Uncle watching) to build the ranch. It’s a simple mission and well worth playing a first time without concentrating on the Gold Medal. All you need to do is simply follow the onscreen instructions during the building process.
Stay alert during the mission for any button prompts.
For the Gold Medal, skip the opening and ending cutscene to save time and whenever it comes to hammering in nails, press the [X]/[A] button in time with John’s swings. You should press the button as if you are beginning the motion. Eventually, you’ll complete the ranch and John will write a letter to his beloved to let them know its time to come home.
