Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Chargin' Chuck

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Chargin’ Chuck enemy in Super Mario 3D World

The Chargin’ Chuck is actually a Koopa that is larger than normal and wears American football gear. They first debuted in Super Mario World and have been mostly the same since then. This game is actually their first appearance in a 3D Mario game, where they retain their normal behavior of charging straight at Mario and the others. In order to defeat them, you will need to jump on their head once to remove their helmet, then jump on them again. Note that they will become a little faster with their helmet off and if you leave them alone for a few seconds, they will actually put their helmet back on their head. A Ground Pound will instantly defeat them, though, and power-ups can also deal damage to them like a normal jump.
