Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

World Star-8: Peepas Fog Bog

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You start off in an open field with gravestones and Key Coins around. Key Coin #1 is at the start, on a platform and when you get close, some Peepas will appear. Off to the left is a hidden platform, which is noticable because there is a coin on it. Ride this platform and you will be able to grab Key Coin #2. Move through the area to the north past a door and some enemies, then Ground Pound the light in front of the gravestone for a Fire Flower. Even farther north is Captain Toad, but ignore him for now. Head towards the center of the area to find the locked Warp Box.

(1 of 2) Go through this door here

Go through this door here (left), to get on the balcony for one of the Key Coins (right)

A little to the right of it will be a POW Block that has a brick on either side. Hit the POW Block to cause some block stairs to appear, allowing you to grab Key Coin #3. North of there is the back wall and you will see some bricks, as well as another POW Block on top of those bricks. Hit the POW Block or roll through the bricks to find Key Coin #4. Return to the locked Warp Box and go a little southeast of it to find one of the doors you’ve been seeing throughout the place. Enter this door to get on top of the balcony in the upper right, where you’ll be able to collect Key Coin #5.

Don’t enter the Warp Box just yet, though. Just south of the balcony is another door, which has a gravestone to the right of it. Although it might be difficult to see it, there’s a light in front of the grave, similar to the Fire Flower from before. Ground Pound here to reveal a Super Star, then grab it and quickly run to Captain Toad in the north. Once you get close, a bunch of Peepas will appear, so defeat them all with the Super Star to be rewarded with Green Star #1. Go ahead and take the Warp Box now, which leads to a poison river. Feel free to hop off and grab the clock pickup, then fall off the edge and jump to the stable platform, with the Checkpoint Flag.

(1 of 2) This gravestone has a Super Star hidden under it

This gravestone has a Super Star hidden under it (left), which can be used to defeat the Peepas and get the first Green Star (right)

Despite the path going up and down into the fog, it’s not bad for you, so follow it until you get to the Snow Pokeys. To the right is a Mystery Box (the left one is fake), so hop into it to be brought to a bonus room. Whenever you step onto the snow area here, the star will disappear, so you will need to do something else. Run and pick up a snowball, then return to the regular floor and toss it to collect Green Star #2. If you defeated the Snow Pokeys and there’s a snowball laying around, pick it up and continue along the main path. Off to the left, right before the Dash Panels, will be Green Star #3, so toss the snowball at it.

(1 of 3) The right Mystery Box is a real one and nets you the second Green Star

When you hit the Dash Panel, you will be following a quick path, so you need to know about the last collectible here. The last straightaway has a path going to the right, with a small gap, so make sure to jump over it. Once you do, you will see the Stamp in the air. With that out of the way, head straight on the main path and take the Warp Box, leading you right to the Goal Pole area.
