Tchia hosts a number of trophies and achievements that mostly revolve around getting various collectibles. However, there are some other trophies/achievements that require you to do some miscellaneous tasks. This page will detail how to unlock the Fashion Faux-Pas trophy/achievement.

How to Unlock the Fashion Faux-Pas Trophy/Achievement in Tchia¶

All you have to do for this trophy/achievement is to wear the Umbrella Hat, but it isn’t as simple as one would think. Normally, you would get cosmetics for your character through the many Valuables Chests hidden on the map. However, the Umbrella Hat doesn’t seem to be a part of these chests. In fact, the Umbrella Hat is stuck in one of the two Claw Machines in the world. Specifically, it appears to be part of the one found in Tingeting, a town located on Ija Noj, the northern of the two large islands.

Where to Find the Umbrella Hat in Tchia¶

As already mentioned above, you will need to venture to Tingeting, where you will find one of the two Claw Machines. Of course, before you’re able to use the machine, you will need the in-game physical Trophies. It doesn’t matter what kind of trophies you get, as any grade of them will be able to give you full use of the Claw Machine. You will be able to get these trophies from Race Challenges, Shooting Range Challenges, and Diving Challenges.

Once you have a trophy (might be smart to get multiple of them, which can be done from the same challenge), head to Tingeting and located the machine there. Grab one of the trophies from your backpack and drop it onto the hole in front of the machine. This will net you three tries to grab one of the golden balls, which has a chance to contain the Umbrella Hat. If you’ve ever played a claw machine, you know how it works. Press the designated button to start moving the claw to the side, then hit it again to stop it. Doing this again will move and stop the claw vertically, where it will drop and try to grab a ball.

It was already mentioned that the golden orbs are the ones that contain the cosmetics, so shoot for those. The other orbs contain gold trophies, which you can use to get more tries at the machine. Keep going for the golden orbs, until you finally get the Umbrella Hat. Once you have it, head to the nearest Campfire, go to the costume change option, then equip it to unlock the trophy/achievement.+
