Trip Doors are basically Ni no Kuni II’s version of fast travel points, and look like magical pillars of light coming out of the ground. All you have to do, when you see one, is walk up to it and press the X button when it appears, to have the trip door remember you. There’s a total of 56 Trip Doors in the game and you need to have activated 50 of those in order to earn the Tripple Threat trophy. The Trip Doors are listed in the order that you will likely unlock them during the course of the game.
