This is a guide for the new Paradox Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet that covers version differences and what they actually are.
What are Paradox Pokémon?¶
Paradox Pokémon are mysterious creatures that resemble existing Pokémon, depicted in the Scarlet Book or
Violet Book. Paradox Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet are ancient-themed, while Paradox Pokémon in Pokémon Violet are futuristic-themed.
Although Paradox Pokémon are based on existing Pokémon, they are completely unconnected to those Pokémon. For example, Paradox Donphan is a separate entity; it does not evolve from
Phanpy or a normal Donphan.
