There are some strange ways to evolve Pokemon in the games, and Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet add on to this trend. You can’t just level up your team and expect them to evolve into stronger forms. You have to do a bit of detective work to learn how each one evolves. In fact, even some of the most simple-looking Pokemon have special evolutions, like Bramblin. If you have been trying to get Brambleghast then keep reading our guide below, as the Pokemon will only evolve after meeting specific conditions.
Where to Get Bramblin¶
If you haven’t yet caught yourself a Bramblin then head to East Zone Three, right above Iono’s Electric-type gym. These tumbleweeds are rolling around all over the place and are generally pretty easy to capture. They are a grass/ghost-type Pokemon, and if you’re lucky, they will come with a host of great moves like Bullet Seed, Mega Drain, and Hex.
How to Evolve Bramblin into Brambleghast¶
Once you have your Bramblin, you can start working on evolving them immediately. There is no level requirement to evolve Bramblin, instead, you need to worry about walking it. You will need to use the Let’s Go feature to let Bramblin walk alongside you for 1,000 steps.
While this may seem like a lot, it actually doesn’t take all that long to hit your goal. Some things that you need to keep in mind are that Bramblin will need to be in your first slot. If you try to ride around, Bramblin will end up getting put up as it can’t keep up with you. You will need to actually walk, with short stops along the way, to evolve this Pokemon. You also should note that it will fight any nearby Pokemon, so it’s best to run around in a town.
Just about any town will do as a Bramblin walking zone. If you walk non-stop, it should take about 5 to 10 minutes for Bramblin to get in enough steps. Once this is done, simply** level him up** using candy or in battle, and he will evolve into Brambleghast.
