How to Start Search for the Kitten’s Owner¶

Search for the Kitten’s Owner is a request in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which you can pick up on Chapter 1 Day 1. After completing your investigation in Armorica Village you’ll hitch a ride back to Crossbell City. As soon as you’re back in control, head to the Bellheim Apartments in West Street, go downstairs and enter the second doorway to the north. Inside this apartment you’ll find Ryu and Anri - the two kids you rescued in the Geofront back in the prologue. Anyways, they’re up to a new form of mischief, as they’ve somehow come across a stray cat, and after some chatter you’ll get the opportunity to intervene and attempt to find the kitten’s owner. Just accept when prompted to start this request.

How to Complete Search for the Kitten’s Owner¶

Finding the stray kitten’s owner amounts to a scavenger hunt - you need to search around Crossbell City and talk to various kids to find out what they know. The first three kids you need to talk to can be found on West Street:

• Pansy: She can be found in the Bellheim Apartments as well, in the door just to the west of the apartment where Ryu and Anri are (first door to the north after going downstairs).

• Momo: Exit the Bellheim Apartments and go up two flights of stairs to the north to find yourself outside of Tallys’ General Store. Momo can be found outside, near some crates.

• Pete: Enter the Grimwood Law Office building (east of Tallys’ General Store) and talk to Pete, who is standing in front of some bookshelves.

Once you’ve learned what you can from the kids on West Street, exit to the north to reach the Residential District:

• Colin: Enter the second house to the east - the Hayworth Residence - and head upstairs to find Colin

• Helmer: Exit the Hayworth Residence and go down a flight of stairs to reach two estates on the lower reaches of the district. Examine the gate outside of the southwesternmost house to trigger some chatter with the butler, Helmer, and some elusive behavior from Elie.

• Sunita: Enter the house to the northeast, head upstairs and talk to Sunita, who is reading a book with her father, Bond.

After being rebuffed by Sunita, exit the house, head upstairs and go to leave the district via the area transition to West Street. This will trigger a scene that reveals the cat’s owner… or at least the person who put the collar on the kitten. Head over to the area transition to Mainz Mountain Path along the northern end of the district and talk to Sunita. After some chatter you’ll have completed the request successfully.
