Difficulty Monsters
★★★★★★★★★★ Guardian Skywatcher x1, Guardian Stalker x1, Guardian Turret x1

This is the penultimate floor with enemies–and, boy, there’s a “fun” assortment of enemies here. Ahead, there’s a small fortress patrolled by a Guardian Skywatcher. Near the top-left corner is a wandering Stalker. Finally, atop the tower near the top-right corner is a Turret.

Strategy

First, study the locations of the three enemies on this floor. Essentially, they’re positioned in a triangle. Two of these enemies–the Stalker and Turret–have exceptional range; the Stalker in particular can move, unlike the Turret. Meanwhile, the Skywatcher won’t ever budge unless you run under its patrol path.

(1 of 2) Get ready to ambush the Skywatcher from this position.

Get ready to ambush the Skywatcher from this position. (left), Glide off and shoot the Skywatcher in the eye with an Ancient Arrow. (right)

The quickest way to clear this floor is by first dealing with the Skywatcher. Observe its patrol path for a while, then climb up the fortress when its safe. Try to climb near the middle, as the Stalker on the left and the Turret on the right might see you. If in doubt, climb nearer the right if you have to.

Make your way to the base of the central spire of the fortress, where the wooden barrels are. Assuming the Skywatcher hasn’t noticed you, shoot a regular arrow at the Skywatcher to alert it. Then shoot an Ancient Arrow at its eye to one-shot it. But only if you have 3 or more arrows. To make aiming easier, apply Stasis or glide off to trigger bullet-time.

(1 of 2) Alternatively, you can parry the Skywatcher’s laser from atop the fortress.

Alternatively, you can parry the Skywatcher’s laser from atop the fortress. (left), Three direct hits back to the eye should kill it. (right)

No Ancient Arrows or you want to conserve them? Now’s a good chance to show off your shield-parrying skills. From where you’re standing, you can easily lock on to the Skywatcher, unlike the previous floor. Try not to stand too close to the Skywatcher though or its laser may get caught by the low-lying wall.

Next, go along the far right side of the floor, towards the Guardian Turret’s tower. Before long, the Turret should spot you and start aiming its laser. Dash towards the ruined walls and hide behind them to avoid the lasers. Once you get near the base of the tower, the Turret will be unable to shoot at you.

(1 of 3) Make a mad dash to the tower where the Turret is.

Occasionally, depending on your distance from the center of the floor, the Stalker may notice you and begin heading you way. However, you should have ample time to climb up the tower. Of course, do so from the direction away from the Stalker. Then once you’re atop the tower, the Stalker cannot attack you.

As for the Turret, fighting it is incredibly straightforward. When you’re up close, it’s basically a Decayed Guardian with an extendable head and much more HP. So you can more or less apply the same strategy. Shoot its eye to stun it and/or use Stasis to stop it moving for a while. Then pummel it with any strong melee weapons you have.

To save time, if you have excess Ancient Arrows (5 or more), you could also shoot it in the eye to one-shot it. Since the Turret can’t move, it’s not a very dangerous foe. However, it does have a lot of HP, making it rather tedious to attack.

(1 of 3) Finally, glide down towards the Guardian Stalker.

Finally, glide down towards the Stalker. If it hasn’t noticed you, consider making your presence known with a Bomb Arrow etc. Once the Stalker’s seen you, you can deal with it in a similar manner to Floor 20. Shoot it in the eye and/or use Stasis to keep it busy, while you cut off its legs with the Stone Smasher or another strong weapon.

Likewise, if you have excess Ancient Arrows (4 or more), feel free to one-shot it by shooting its eye. At this point, there aren’t many foes left to use these arrows on.

The safer way to clear this floor is to ignore the Skywatcher at the beginning and attack the Turret first, then the Stalker. Before finally dispatching the Skywatcher.

(1 of 2) Look inside the base of the fortress for a Royal Bow.

Look inside the base of the fortress for a Royal Bow. (left), Also, on top of the left attached wall, there’s a Royal Shield up for grabs. (right)

In any case, when it’s nice and quiet, go inside the base of the fortress, via the small doorways. There’s a chest here with a Royal Bow. Also, go up the left wall of the fortress (facing away from the entrance of the floor). Over here, there’s a chest with a Royal Shield.

For additional supplies, smash the wooden barrels near the base of the fortress’s spire for food items, the wooden crates atop the unattached wall of the fortress further left for arrows, and finally the wooden barrels in the middle ruined house near the back for more food items.
