How To Get & Use Flipendo In Hogwarts Legacy

By
Jacob Woodward

In Hogwarts Legacy, thankfully there are a bunch of different spells for you to enjoy. Not only this, you’re going to be utilising these to form different combinations depending on the opponents in front of you.

One of these spells in Hogwarts Legacy that you’ll be able to learn is "Flipendo" iconFlipendo, a Force spell that can be used effectively both in and out of combat.

This guide will explain how to get Flipendo as well as how to use it, allowing you to get the most out of a non-damaging ability.

How To Unlock Flipendo In Hogwarts Legacy

If you want to get your hands on this Force spell in Hogwarts Legacy, you’re going to have to attend those all-important classes. This is because learning Flipendo is tied to completing a Professor’s Assignment, Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 to be precise.

Learning Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy

For Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 to become available, you must progress the main story until you complete The Map Chamber Quest and after this point, you will receive an Owl Post from the Professor asking you once again to perform some tasks for her.

For this Assignment, you’re going to have to grow and harvest some Fluxweed and use the three plants that can aid you in combat; "Chinese Chomping Cabbage" iconChinese Chomping Cabbages, "Venomous Tentacula" iconVenomous Tentacula, and "Mandrake" iconMandrakes. These can be purchased or grown yourself if you have the necessary equipment.

How To Use Flipendo In Hogwarts Legacy

Now, for how to use Flippendo effectively.

As previously stated, Flippendo is a Force spell thus meaning it doesn’t inflict any damage on enemies. So, you’re not going to be charging into battle and laying it on your opponents left, right, and centre.

Instead, you’re going to want to fire off another Damage spell such as "Expelliarmus" iconExpelliarmus or "Confringo" iconConfringo, and use Flipendo to almost juggle your foes, keeping them in the air while you deal as much damage as possible. You can also throw a "Glacius" iconGlacius in there as well to allow you even more time, maybe to deal with others and then go back to Flipendo to get the juggle going once more.

Contrary to other Control or Force spells, we think you can definitely utilise Flipendo whether you’re fighting against a group of enemies or a sole opponent. This is due its incredibly quick cooldown and its main use case being to juggle.

Juggling using Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy

Sadly, there isn’t any Flipendo Mastery to bolster this spell’s effects, which is a little disappointing as an improvement to juggle time could make Flipendo a serious contender as one of the best overall non-damage spells in the game.
