Gobul¶
The Gobul is a large fish-like creature, easily recognised by its flat shape and glowing lantern. Despite appearances, it can attack on the ground as well as in the water, although it’s much more dangerous in the water. When enraged, it can puff up its body like a balloon (a very spiky one).

Key Attacks¶
Burrow : The Gobul hides in the sand. On land it will move near a hunter and launch out towards them. Underwater it will either explode skyward or try and pull its prey into its mouth with a strong suction.
Barrel Roll : The Gobul will puff up and then rotate. Underwater this doesn’t move too far while on land it works similarly to the Royal Ludroth’s attack.
Charge : The Gobul opens its jaw and charges forward.
Recommended Strategy¶
The ideal place to fight the Gobul is on land. If you can fish him up, do so. When on land he works like an oversized Royal Ludroth with a nasty mouth. Attack near the extreme front or back, then move to avoid the incoming attack.
Underwater the Gobul is a fiend. As with all underwater scraps you’ll want to aim for its belly ideally, considering the way it can puff its back up. Focus on scrappy hits, a few at a time, and stay low to the floor at all times.
If the Gobul does burrow underground swim around it at a wide berth with an eye to be past its aim should it breath in. If it does breath in, keep swimming! The Gobul may adjust its aim and you don’t want to be caught in it.
