You will encounter your first Shitieshou Demon during Part 2 - The Valley of the Crying Wraiths - of the main story for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. After this, you’ll stumble upon them at various points throughout the game. You can offer them metal items in return for trinket rewards, but you can only do this once for each Shitieshou Demon. We’ll tell you all you need to know about how to do this.
How to Feed Metal Items to Shitieshou Demons¶
The Shitieshou Demons are more than just cute little friendly demons. They can be a good source for acquiring new trinkets / accessories, which you can get in exchange for feeding them metal items. The metal items that the demons will eat mostly come in the form of weapons or armor, so be aware that some miscellaneous items won’t be consumed by the demons.
To give them an item, all you need to do is enter your inventory and navigate to the “Drop” option for a specific item. This will drop the item at the position you’re standing in. The place where you drop an item is important, since the demons often won’t consume an item which is dropped too far away from them. You’ll need to effectively stand on top of them and drop the item there to make sure that they eat it. It may still take a brief moment before they begin the process, though!
How Cute! and How Precious! Achievements¶
In case you were wondering, you earn the How Cute! achievement once you feed your first Shitieshou Demon, but you’ll get the How Precious! achievement after feeding them all. After you feed a Shitieshou Demon, they will go to the Hidden Village. You’ll still see them at the location where you initially found them if you repeat a mission, but you won’t be able to interact with them a second time. So there’s no accessory farming method to be found here!
You’ll find a total of 12 Shitieshou Demons in the Main Missions, and 9 in the Sub Missions. As far as we can tell, the type of accessory that you get from each is random, and some players may have more luck in obtaining rare accessories than others. The quality of the accessories do scale however, so if you encounter a Shitieshou Demon in one of the later missions, you can expect to receive an accessory on par with your level progress.
