Awaken Worm Wine #1¶
(1 of 2) Start at the Cave Interior Shrine
Start at the Cave Interior Shrine (left), and take a left upon entering the boss arena to find the first Awoken Worm Wine. (right)
Once you’ve defeated the 
Black Wind King Boss, return to the Cave Interior Shrine in the Black Wind Cave area and then take a left as soon as you enter the boss arena to find a green glowing pot. Attack this to obtain the first Awaken Worm Wine.
Awaken Worm Wine #2¶
(1 of 2) Head to the Valley of Despair Shrine
Head to the Valley of Despair Shrine (left), and you’ll find the third Awaken Worm Wine tucked away in a corner of the nearby shrine. (right)
The second Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Valley of Despair Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area and then proceed into the cave. From here, you’ll want to follow the path opposite where you fought the First Prince of Flowing Sands and then you’ll find a green glowing pot. Destroying this will yield the next worm wine.

This is a simple Awaken Worm Wine to find, simply access the Shen Monkey’s wares during Chapter 3 to discover he has one for sale. If you’ve already obtained the Ryui Scroll and have access to Zodiac Village, you’ll find that he’s moved his services there instead.
Awaken Worm Wine #4¶

The fourth Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Outside The Wheel Shrine in the Pagoda Realm Area and follow the path around to the right and use the ledges to scale down the cliff, then backtrack a little to find the pot next to a small group of enemies.
Awaken Worm Wine #5¶

The fifth Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Longevity Road Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy Area and following the path along to the left until you come across a large enemy, then smash the pot behind him.
Awaken Worm Wine #6¶

The sixth Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Temple Entrance Shrine in the Temple of Yellow Flower Area, then go up the stairs and enter the room on the right to find the pot in the next room (beyond the meditate point).
Awaken Worm Wine #7¶

The seventh Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Estate of Zhu Shrine in the Village of Lanaxi Area, then enter the courtyard and look inside the room on the right to find the pot.

The ninth Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Petalfall Hamlet Shrine, then head up the stairs and look for a narrow pathway on the left.
Awaken Worm Wine #10¶

The tenth Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Rakshasa Palace Shrine, then head across the stone bridges and make your way into the building in the lava.

The eleventh Awaken Worm Wine can be found by starting at the Corridor of Fire and Ice Shrine, then go through the ice wall and head up the stairs to find it to the left.
Upgrading the Gourd¶
The gourd won’t be upgradable until you’ve come across a friendly NPC named Shen Monkey and he can be found towards the end of chapter 1. If you’re having trouble tracking him down, then check out our Gourd Upgrade System Explained for more information. Once you’ve found Shen Monkey you’ll need to find some Awaken Worm Wines before you can start upgrading the gourds potency. These are typically found inside green glowing pots.
