Gourds in Black Myth: Wukong are akin to Healing Flasks in other popular action RPGs. Wukong’s version is more robust with a lot more variety as there are ten Gourds in total (including upgrades) each offering you a different effect. On top of that, you have Drinks and Soaks, which further enhance your Gourd.
One of the best Gourds in the game is the 
Supreme Gourd, and it can only be obtained by upgrading the 
Old Gourd before going to Furnace Valley to upgrade it to its final form. Read on to find out exactly what you need to do to acquire the Supreme Gourd in Wukong.
The Supreme Gourd is the highest tier upgrade of the starting Gourd, the Old Gourd.
What Does the Supreme Gourd Do?¶
The Supreme Gourd gives you 10 healing charges before you need to replenish it at a Shrine, which is the most charges a Gourd has to offer. Outside of that, there are no other benefits, but it gives you the most amount of charges, which can be the difference between defeating a boss or not.
Upgrading the Old Gourd¶
Before you can obtain the Supreme Gourd, you must upgrade the first Gourd in the game, the Old Gourd to the 
Medicine Buddha Gourd, which requires upgrading it five times. Each upgrade will change the name of the Old Gourd to the following: 
Medicine Gourd (5 Charges), 
Healing Gourd (6 Charges), 
Medicine Sage Gourd (7 Charges), 
Medicine Master Gourd (8 Charges), and finally, the Medicine Buddha Gourd (9 Charges). To upgrade the Gourds, you’ll need to acquire Luoija Fragment Vines with more being needed for each upgrade.

Obtaining the Supreme Gourd¶
Once your Old Gourd has become the Medicine Buddha Gourd and has 9 charges, you must travel to the Rakshasa Palace Shrine in Furnace Valley (Chapter 5). From the Rahshasa Shrine, follow the series of bridges ahead until you turn right onto the stone path.

Continue along the path until you reach an intersection (left or right) and take the left path up the small set of stairs. If you stop here and look to your right, you’ll see a building across the molten floor with a fire shining brightly in the distance. Head over to the building, and interact with the fire to upgrade the Gourd to its final form, the Supreme Gourd.

Note that you can smash the nearby pot for an 
Awaken Wine Worm and talk to the old man who originally gave you the Gourd way back in Chapter 1. You’ll need to speak to him for his portrait later on in the game.
