Luojia Fragrant Vine #1¶

The first Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at the Marsh of the White Mist Shrine in the Bamboo Grove area and then follow the path down to the left to find the vine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #2¶
(1 of 2) Start at the Windseal Gate Shrine
Start at the Windseal Gate Shrine (left), and collect the vine from behind Gore-Eye Daoist (right)
The second Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at the Windseal Gate Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area and follow the path ahead until you have to defeat the 
Gore-Eye Daoist, then examine the vine behind him.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #3¶
(1 of 2) Start at the Windcrest Bridge Shrine

The third Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at the Windcrest Bridge Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area and work your way into the village’s courtyard. Defeat the Rat Imperials and head through the double door at the end of the path to find vine on the right.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #4¶

The fourth Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found starting at the Outside the Wheel Shrine in the Pagoda Realm area of Chapter 3. Proceed forward, into the cave, and eventually you’ll find a stream but instead of following it around to the right, look in the left corner to find the next vine.

This is a simple Vine to find, during Chapter 3, return to the Shen Monkey and purchase it from his wares. If you’ve already unlocked Zodiac Village via the Ryui Scroll, you’ll discover that the Shen Monkey has moved to this location.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #6¶

The sixth Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found starting at the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Shrine in the Bitter Lake area of Chapter 3. Head east along the shore from the shrine and look for some stairs leading up on your left. Keep an eye on your left and you’ll find an opening you can pass into, where you’ll be attacked by some enemies. Once they’re taken care of, you can safely claim the next Luojia Vine.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #7¶

The seventh Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found starting at the Longevity Road Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy of Chapter 3. Head left from the shrine and go up the stairs, then continue all the way to an opening with two raven enemies.
Luojia Fragrant Vine #8¶

The eighth Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at The Verdure Bridge Shrine in the Webbed Hollow of Chapter 4. Head left and drop down into the hole, then follow the path and go up the slope to find the vine in an opening with some shacks.

The ninth Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at the Cliff of Oblivion Shrine in the Webbed Hollow of Chapter 4. Cross two bridges and follow the path to a greeny area where you can find it on a tree.

The tenth Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found just before the Mountain Trail Shrine in the Temple of Yellow Flowers Area of Chapter 4.

The eleventh Luojia Fragrant Vine can be found by starting at the Valley of Blooms Shrine in the Secret Purple Cloud Mountain Area of Chapter 4. Go over to the right of the shrine (by dropping into the water), near the 
Verdant Glow Spirit. If you haven’t unlocked this area, then you can do so by following the steps on our Unlocking Secret Area: Purple Cloud Mountain - Venom Daoist Locations page
Upgrading the Gourd¶
You won’t be able to start upgrading the gourd until you’ve come across a friendly NPC named Shen Monkey and he can be found towards the end of chapter 1. If you’re having trouble tracking him down, then check out our Gourd Upgrade System Explained for more information. Once you’ve found Shen Monkey, you’ll need to find some Luojia Fragrant Vines before you can start upgrading your Gourd.
