Part 1: Destroy the Transmitters

After speaking with Norton to begin the mission, you’ll soon be given a new ability to mess with – the air dash. This allows you a short burst of speed through the air following a jump which is particularly useful at crossing large gaps or when attempting to maintain a chain of various grinding / bouncing /wall running manoeuvres together.

Approach the radio tower in the distance. As you arrive you’ll encounter a new type of bad guy – the Fizzco Blade Bots. These are essentially a robotic version of the Scab rushers we met earlier and will constantly try to get close to you in order to unleash some nasty and quite damaging melee attacks. They also have the ability to jump from great distances in a leap attack, so be on your guard when they are around!

Our real goal in this area is to destroy three radio transmitters, the first of which is located in a fenced in area on the roof of a building nearby. Clear out the Rifle and Blade Bots in the area before approaching and then shooting/meleeing the transmitter to destroy it.

Clear your way through the Blade and Rifle Bots (left) to reach the first transmitter (right).

Once the transmitter falls use the circular platforms that it spawns to bounce up to the structure above and then onto a railing we can ride until a catwalk. Climb the stairs here to reach a larger platform. This time around, you’ll need to deal with both OD and Fizzco forces, note that the transmitter is located on the southern side of the supports above and you can shoot it without killing anything if you wish (although it is much safer to clear out some enemies for some breathing room).

Once you have destroyed the transmitter here and using the bounce pads to continue upwards. After ascending a short distance a scene will play.

Part 2: Boss Fight - Fizzie

The boss is a giant balloon that will shoot at you using a pair of death lasers that come from its eyes. These can be spotted fairly easily and should be quite easy to avoid. We’ll spend the majority of the fight grinding up and down the circular poles here whilst avoiding the lasers.

To damage the boss, you need to jump to the bounce pads scattered about the place and land on three of them in a row. This will stun him. Whilst the boss is stunned, you are able to shoot his eyes, as such, grind over as close as you can to him and unload your arsenal into both of his eyes. When he returns to normal, repeat the process. He will move around a little more as his health bar drains, but the strategy remains essentially the same until he reaches 1/3 health.

Jump on the blue drums to stun Fizzie (left) before shooting him in the eyes. Also, avoid the death lasers! (right).

Once his health drops sufficiently, the boss will reveal a third eye in between his others and will start firing off heat seeking missiles at you too. Simply dodge these as you fire away at his eye and before long he will drop to end the mission.
