Fire Emblem Engage has a whole host of characters to recruit, allowing you to diversify your battle strategies, and maybe even get a little romance going. However, while most of the characters you can recruit will be available by simple story progress, there are some missable ones that you’ll have to do extra to get into your party.
This guide will take you through each of the Fire Emblem Engage missable characters so that you’re aware of exactly who you’ll need to be on the lookout for and get that all-important complete support catalogue.
Who Are The Missable Characters In Fire Emblem Engage?¶
There are a total of six missable characters in Fire Emblem Engage, and all of these you will not have the chance to recruit if you don’t know the steps to do so. Thankfully, there are no arduous tasks to be done here, and can be as simple as having Alear talking to them.
Here is the full list of missable characters as well as what you’ll need to do to make them one of your support units:
Jean¶
The first potentially missable character in Fire Emblem Engage is Jean, and one you should probably look at recruiting thanks to his healing strengths. To ensure you don’t skip over him, what you’ll need to do is once you reach Chapter 6, play the Budding Talent Paralogue. This is because you must have a conversation with him as Alear to bring him onboard, and you won’t be able to do so if you do not partake in this Paralogue.
Anna¶
The next missable character in the game comes a Chapter later in Chapter 7. Again, you’ll have to load up a Paralogue, this time, the one called Mysterious Merchant. When playing this side mission, ensure that you speak with her as Alear upon her surprise appearance from one of the chests in the south of the castle. One thing to note here is that Thieves will also be on the hunt for her so you must get to them before they do otherwise she may be killed and lost forever.
Jade¶
The third missable character is Jade, but thankfully, you wont need to play any extra of the game to ensure she makes it into your party. Instead, all you need to do is reach Chapter 9 and have Alear speak with her and she’ll join forces with you.
Seadall¶
Up fourth is Seadall. Seadall can be recruited very simply akin to Jade. Simply reach Chapter 15 and have Alear speak with him.
Lindon¶
For the fifth missable character, you’re looking at Lindon, someone who is particularly useful if you want to get some ranged damage going. If you want to secure him as a support character, reach Chapter 15 and you guessed it, have Alear speak to him. However the caveat with this one is that he is a hostile character, so if you’re auto-battling, make sure one of your other units doesn’t take him out before you get the chance to have a conversation.
Saphir¶
Last, but not least, we’ve got Saphir, the final missable character in the game. Thankfully, it’s a super simple one, and all you have to do is speak to her with Alear.
