Monster Hunter Generations

Deviant Equipment

By
Vincent Lau

Deviant monster equipment is special!

Did you see all the really cool-looking armor and weapons you unlocked after defeating a deviant monster? Deviant equipment is very special. Unlike other gear, such as regular monsters’ armor, deviant equipment must be forged in low rank from level 1 quests but will remain viable all the way into endgame. Deviant weapons recharge your hunting arts more rapidly.

Deviant armor is meant to be worn as a complete set, giving a seamless set of skills and very few negative skill points. They also look exceptionally cool aesthetically, setting them apart from other armor sets. All deviant armor must be forged using level 1 tickets (as well as all starting weapons). As you upgrade the armor, you will need progressing level tickets (in addition to other monster materials).

Upgrading deviant armor past level 6 will cause more skills to appear! That’s right! Your deviant armor might start out at level 1 with some pretty useless skills but trust me! By the end of it all, when you have reached the level 10 pinnacle, you will have gear to die for. Your weapons will continually increase in power and sharpness as they are upgraded as well.
