Monster Hunter Generations

Yukumo Village

By
Vincent Lau

Land of hotsprings, Yukumo Village

Yukumo Village was a village featured in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. An elusive village that was only seen in one installment that never saw light outside of Japan, it’s pretty awesome to see Yukumo in Generations for the entire world to admire! Yukumo Village has had several dealings with Amatsu, a local Elder Dragon, and is most famous for its therapeutic footbath and exquisite carpentry from Yukumo’s famous hardwood.

Yukumo Village is closest in proximity to Misty Peaks and so most of its requests will involve journeying to that area. Just like the other four hub villages and the hunter’s prep area, all of the necessities (smithy, market, your house, kitchen, etc.) can be found here.

The Yukumo Chief is similar to the Pokke and Kokoto Chiefs in that she won’t really give you much in the way of solo campaign progression, but she will give you several village requests, most of which deal with Misty Peaks, and will reward you grandly for completing them.

The Spring-Keeper Felyne attendant runs the footbaths. You won’t be seeing her often but she is the one responsible for all of the spring’s upkeep. Be sure to stop by the spring often as random NPCs will often be there ready to have either an enlightening conversation, or present you with a village request.

Just like all the other villages, various NPCs from previous Monster Hunter installments will gather here. Most of them will have village requests for you to carry out, and all of them are there mostly to give you that good, sweet feeling of nostalgia.
