Zamtrios has two rage mode phases.

As shown above, Zamtrios has three unique modes during your fight with it. The first mode, when it is not enraged, is pretty standard and cookie-cutter. When Zamtrios enters its first rage mode, it will create an armor of ice around its body that will bounce many weapons. Things like Demon Mode from Dual Swords and the Switch Axe’s sword mode will allow you to bypass the armor. Breaking it off, especially on the arms and legs, will trip up Zamtrios and let you resume your attacking frenzy.

At last, Zamtrios will enter its second rage mode: It will blow itself up like a pufferfish, turning into what is essentially a giant, bouncy sphere. After enough damage has been dealt, Zamtrios will deflate. The air it pushes out of its stomach can send you flying. Then Zamtrios will return to its first, non-rage mode. Note that you cannot mount Zamtrios when it’s puffed up.

Zamtrios is really weak to fire.

Attack Explanation
Claw Swipe One of its most harmless attacks. Zamtrios will swipe forward with its left or right front claws.
Ice spit Zamtrios will spit an ice blob at you. This inflicts minor damage and Iceblight.
Leaping Charge Zamtrios will spring around via huge leaps. This can be repeated multiple times. In its first stage of rage mode, it will pause, as if winding up, before doing a particularly powerful charge.
Bulldoze Instead of leaping at you, Zamtrios will just run over really quickly to bowl you over
360 spin When in its first rage mode, Zamtrios will pause, as if to wind up, and then suddenly it will spin around. This attack has large range.
Ice Laser Zamtrios will spit out a fat beam of ice to its left and right.
Bounce When in pufferfish mode, Zamtrios will leap up and then land heavily.
Roll When in pufferfish mode, Zamtrios will roll around for a short period of time. It has a hard time changing direction, however.
Ice Spit-Up When in pufferfish mode, Zamtrios will open its large mouth and then spit a bunch of ice out landing randomly around it. It has the uncanny ability to aim carefully at you.
