Tips¶
Congratulations on becoming a God rank Mercenary!
But don’t think you’ve seen everything just yet… far from it. If you speak to Cervantes in The Crown, you can now accept the Mercenary’s Special Request .
During the night , the nefarious Lord of the Cursed will be roaming the Drysand Desert. Its position can vary wildly, but it’s usually found along the central path of the desert.
This fearsome bone dragon (or dino) is one of the strongest bosses in the game (if not, the strongest), so you’ll need to bring your A game to take it down.
Before marching off into the night, we recommend you fit yourself with the best weapons and armour crafted by a God Blacksmith. Of note, the Sword of Heroes from the Blacksmith’s Special Request is an excellent weapon to have.
Also, it should be second nature by now, but bring along the most dependable allies you have. This should include Cervantes (or any of the combat Life masters) and Celestia if you surpassed the Trial of Light.
Although, to be frank, even the strongest computer-controlled allies will be falling on the floor again and again, so your safest bet is to locate some similarly high Level players to assist you.
For its attacks, the Lord of the Cursed likes to bend its head down and continuously bite any poor sap that’s gotten too close. If this person is you… ouch.
To avoid becoming a late-night snack, keep away from the dino’s mouth at al costs. Unless you’re about to unleash a Hurricane or Tornado Shot. Plus if you dodge this attack, you’ll get a chance to counter-attack too.
The other reason to keep clear of the dino’s mouth is its bad breath. On occasions, it may tilt its head back, then breathe a wave of shadowy breath from right to left. The breath is slow-moving, but has a large range and inflicts hefty damage, so stay clear.
The skeletal dino may also swing its tail along the right side of its body. This attack is fast and has a surprisingly large range, but the main thing is that it does a heck of a lot of damage. If you’re circling around the dino, at least keep to its left side, rather than its right.
Just when you think you’re safe, watch out for when the Lord of the Cursed roars into the air. Like the Napdragons, you should run back and heal, as the nasty dino will soon surround itself with highly-damaging shadowy flames.
Near the half HP mark, the Lord of the Cursed will reveal its strongest move… As soon as you see it begin to dislocate its bones, don’t think: just run !
After this, the deadly dino will furiously launch its bones in a wide arc forward, which inflicts a helluva lot of damage and has a massive range to boot. Don’t bother trying to sneak behind the dino, as it will turn with this attack too.
To put the final nail in your coffin, the dino will also immediately use its tail swipe after its dragon breath and jaw chomp moves, leaving you with considerably less opportunities to attack.
The best advice we can give is to be patient and heal frequently. If you can, also try to save your God skill until near the end of the battle, so you can quickly finish off the dreaded creature when it’s most dangerous.
