Tips¶
Expert Miners can enjoy digging for gold and rare fossils in hot and sandy Al Maajik; if you weren’t rich before, you will be now!
Al Maajik Gold is surprisingly common and can be mined from gold deposits in the Al Maajik Outskirts and the Drysand Desert, amongst other places. These same deposits also yield Sandstones and, very rarily, Emeralds.
For the dragon fossils, you’ll want to visit the aptly-named Cave of Bones , located to the north of Drysand Desert; easily found if you head north-east from the Al Maajik Outskirts entrance.
In the north-east corner of the first room, you can find the Enormous Ancient Fossil . It’s the strongest deposit so far, so you’ll need a strong pickaxe (we recommend at least the Gold Pickaxe from the Al Maajik General Goods) and high Strength.
The enormous fossil has a good chance of yielding dragon fossils if you manage “Excellent!” damage at the end. However if you don’t find enough fossils or the right types, try mining the smaller Ancient Fossil in the second room.
The Fire Wingstone , which is the easier of the three bosses, lies towards the north-east of Drysand Desert, near the Ancient Ruins path. Occasionally the Thunderbird spawns near here, but it’s not aggressive so you can mine in piece.
Finally the Earth Wingstone is situated in the eastern depths of the Subterranean Lake, accessible from the south-west corner of Drysand Desert. This magical stone has a chance of yielding Emeralds too if you’re lucky.
