Where you go at this stage depends on which Life you picked.

We left off with you receiving the King’s blessings and Flutter the butterfly joining your ranks. Your next mission is to visit your Life Master, an expert and teacher of that Life, so you can receive an Introductory Quest .

As the name suggests, an Introductory Quest is a mission of sorts designed to gently ease you into your chosen Life. Complete this and you’ll graduate from a rather useless Novice to a sort-of-useful Fledgling.

At this point, if you read ahead, you should notice not one, but twelve pages of Introductory Quests. Wait, don’t run away in fear!

If you’re smart (we’re not suggesting you aren’t!) you might realise you don’t have to do every single Introductory Quest right now–just the one for the Life you picked at the start. Afterwards, you can simply skip ahead to the next chapter, Life in Castele .

Of course, if you ever change your Life, you will have to do the Introductory Quest for that Life, so you may find yourself coming back to this section. Or not, because from your second Life and onwards, you can skip the Introductory Quest!
