Tips¶
Your Master rank is just around the corner, but you’ve got a long road ahead of you still. On the plus side, none of the monsters here are even half as challenging as the Napdragon previously.
Before you begin, we recommend disbanding your party until you’ve completed the first two Challenges, involving your supercharged attacks. There’s nothing worse than charging up an attack only for a NPC ally to steal your kill and waste your SP.
Most of the quest monsters are located around Drysand Desert; in particular, inside the Cave of Bones towards the north or nearby. Just give the place a thorough inspection and you’ll be clear before you know it.
To get to Cacto Cove, return to the Al Maajik Outskirts, the area between the Desertward Ravine and Drysand Desert. Along the south bank, there’s a ferry that will take you across. However you must have completed the Al Maajik Story Quest and recruited Magnificus first.
Annoyingly, just one Starry Caterpillo appears at night, along the staircase up the giant cactus. To respawn it, just enter and exit the Cave of Shadows nearby.
For the Fairy Dragons , you’ll be visiting the Mt. Snowpeak Summit once again; specifically the area to the far east where you dealt with the Shadow Baby Dragons in the story.
But to get there again you will need to get past the Silverfang , a dangerous giant dinosaur. This brute can be dealt with in a similar manner to the Napdragon, so just stick close to its body to avoid its fangs and ice breath.
Finally, for the Deepsea Cave , just head towards the south-west corner of Tortuga Archipelago.
