This area is located north from Poni Plains. From the entrance, head north through the tall grass towards the female Ace Trainer with the "Probopass" IconProbopass standing by the side of the pond. You won’t get anything from talking to them, so just treat them as a landmark and move on.

Although, you can fish in the pond if you want. There’s also a photo spot towards the west, on the other side of the tree. In any case, head north-east from the Ace Trainer towards the slope leading west. Just before the slope, there’s a shimmering spot containing Purple Nectar .

At the top, there’s another Purple Nectar spot ahead. That way also leads deeper in. For now, head south, then cross over the tree branches to the east to retrieve a Honey . Return to the previous Purple Nectar spot and make your way north.

After going under some tree branches, there will be a ledge face to the north. Proceed east across the nearby tree branches. On the other side, go through the tall grass, then step on the next bunch of tree branches and use them to cross over to the east.

On the other side, head south to find TM50 Overheat . Making sure you haven’t burned your hands, carry on north from here, through the tall grass ahead. Once you’re past, go west across the tree branches. Further west, there’s a ledge below. You may as well jump over it.

Jump over the next ledge as well, but stop there for a moment, so you can pick up the "Zygarde" IconZygarde Cell (88) towards the east. From there, leap over the final edge and make your way back around to the north side, before you jumped over the ledges.

Carry on west past the ledge. In the far north-west corner is the exit to Resolution Cave . Before heading inside, go south and walk across the tree branches west from the series of ledges. At the end is a Power Herb that you can put to good use.

Resolution Cave

A relatively short dungeon with some useful items.

Pokémon Encounters - Resolution Cave

Name Types(s) Location (Encounter Rate)
"Golbat" IconGolbat Poison/Flying Everywhere (70%)
"Dugtrio" IconDugtrio* Ground/Steel Everywhere (30%)
"Crobat" IconCrobat Poison/Flying (SOS only) Possible ally Pokemon for "Golbat" IconGolbat

*** indicates Alolan form.**

Start by heading west, then call "Mudsdale" IconMudsdale so you can gallop across the rocky path. When you reach the pillar, you can continue west or turn towards the south. Continue on for now. At the far end, there’s an Elixir behind the rocks; you’ll need to dismount to reach it.

Next, head south from the pillar. Around here, there’s a trainer searching for a fight next to a crumbled pillar. Call "Tauros" IconTauros and smash through the rocks to the right of the pillar. This can be pretty hard to notice, but you can head west from the pillar, under the overpass.

In the corner, you’ll find TM26 Earthquake . Afterwards, go back and challenge the trainer.

Backpacker Maria

Pokemon Level Type
"Emolga" IconEmolga 57 Electric/Flying

This flying squirrel… thing is weak to Ice and Rock-type moves only. It’s pretty weak with its only good stat being Speed, so should be a piece of cake for your Champion-beating team.

From here, head west through the narrow path to the west of Maria. It will appear to end prematurely; at this point, go south under the overpass. At the very end, you’ll emerge on a ledge with a Terrain Extender nearby. Perfect for those who love using the Tapus.

Go back to Maria’s location and, this time, continue south. Eventually, you’ll find a pile of rocks to the left. Smash them with Tauros to find a poor trainer trapped on the other side.

Hiker Travis

Pokemon Level Type
"Dugtrio" IconDugtrio (Alolan) 56 Ground/Steel
"Mudsdale" IconMudsdale 57 Ground

This entire cave is filled with Alolan "Dugtrio" IconDugtrio, so you must have ways to deal with them. They’re fast and hit hard, but not particular durable.

Mudsdale shouldn’t be stretching your brain either. It’s sturdy for sure, but slow as heck. Special attackers with decent bulk will be great here.

After that little rescue mission, head all the way east. Here, you’ll find a cave leading deeper down. If it’s day time, there will be a Zygarde Cell (89) to the east of the entrance.

There are 3 Zygarde Cells, but you may only find 2 the first time.

Downstairs, head all the way north. Just before reaching the slope, if it’s night time, a Zygarde Cell (90) will be glowing towards the east side of the tunnel, next to a small stalagmite. Climb up the slope to reach the endpoint of the cave, where… there’s actually not much here.

Pick up the Zygarde Cell (91) from the centre of the raised area, then return to the base of the slope. Next, you can head in four directions: north-west, north-east, south-east and south-west. Each path will lead you to a single item.

In the north-west corner, you’ll find an Adrenaline Orb . Meanwhile, you’ll find nothing at first in the north-east corner; use "Stoutland" IconStoutland to search near the centre for a hidden Big Nugget . Next, there’s a Life Orb in the south-east corner, which is perfect for hyper-offensive Pokemon.

Finally, waiting in the south-west corner is a Light Ball . Give this to a "Pikachu" IconPikachu and its offensive stats will receive a boost. Just in case you don’t want to evolve the critter like Ash’s. That’s all you’re going to find here, so use an Escape Rope etc. to leave once you’re ready.
