The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Get The Ocarina of Time Armor Set in Tears of The Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

The Hero of Time set is hard to get as it’s all in The Depths and pretty spread out. The locations of this set make it frustrating to get to, especially when trying to acquire the Cap of Time. In fact, you will likely get lost in The Depths before you find the full Time set. The guide below goes over how to find the Time set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

How to get the Hero of Time Armor in ToTK

Right, let’s have a look a how we can get all the parts of this set as quickly as possible.

How to Get The Cap of Time

The "Cap of Time" iconCap of Time is one of the hardest items to get in The Depths just due to the sheer amount of walking you have to do, the best way to not get lost is by going to the west end of the map and then making your way north going from Lightroot to Lightroot. The closest fast travel point to this chest is "Nupisoyut Lightroot" iconNupisoyut Lightroot or So-oaw Lightroot. From those, you need to either go east from Nupisoyut or north from So-oaw to reach Sturnida Lava Falls. The chest is sitting on a pillar on the north side of the falls, right below an armory. You will need to put on heat-resistant gear to retrieve it though, and unless you like climbing, build a flying machine to reach the Lava Falls.

(1 of 4) Travel to the Sturnida Lava Falls and watch out for the Frox.

How to Get The Tunic of Time

The "Tunic of Time" iconTunic of Time is a bit harder to get as it involves a bit of walking. You can start towards the chest by entering The Depths through the Hyrule Ridge Chasm. It’s close to the Tikanur Lightroot if you’ve already unlocked it. Just head east to the Lindor Canyon Mine, here you will see a chest in some ruins, open it to get the Tunic of Time.

(1 of 3) Use the Hyrule Ridge Chasm to get close to the Tikanur Lightroot.

How to Get The Trousers of Time

The "Trousers of Time" iconTrousers of Time is pretty easy to get. All you need to do is go to the Gerudo Summit Chasm and jump in. Keep in mind that this is a cold area so you will need to dress for the weather. Once you land on the ground, look south, you should see some ruins and a chest that contains the Trousers of Time.

(1 of 3) Gerudo Summit Chasm entrance.

Can You Upgrade The Time Armor Set?

No, like the other cosmetic sets, the Time set can’t be upgraded even if you visit a Great "Fairy" iconFairy. The set will always have an armor rating of three no matter what you do and isn’t suited for high-level enemies. With that being said, if you need to go into a tough fight or special area, then it’s best to switch to another set. You should also note that there is no way to glamor armor currently in the game, so you won’t be able to have it as your shown gear either.
